I.

Solemn Blessing of the Vigil: The Service of Light

Commentator: Good evening. Our presider for tonights solemn vigil is Reverend Father _____________________ of the Society of Jesus. All please rise and face the entrance of the chapel.
All light of the Chapel are put out.

Blessing of Fire Priest: Dear friends in Christ, on this most holy night and live with him for ever in God.

Then the priest lifts the candle high up at the entrance of the chapel and sings:

All light their candle from the Easter candle and continue in the procession. Moving towards the sanctuary, the priest stops in the middle aisle, lift the Easter candle and sings:

When the priest arrives before the altar, he faces the people and sings:

Rejoice, heavenly powers Gods people! The Lord be with you.

IV. Liturgy of the Eucharist

Preparation of the Altar and the Gifts Singing of Offertory hymn
The priest prepares the altar for consecration. Meanwhile, he incenses the bread and wine and then the altar table. The server takes the incense and in turn incenses the priest and the concelebrating priests. When the server finishes incensing the priest and the concelebrating priests, he immediately proceeds to the center of the sanctuary to incense the congregation. Meanwhile, the commentator says:

Commentator: All please rise.

Then the server incenses the congregation. After incensing the congregation, the priest says:

Priest: All:

Pray, brethren, that our sacrifice may be acceptable to God, the almighty Father. May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name, for our good, and the good of all his church.

Prayer over the Gifts Priest: Lord, accept the prayers and offering of your people. With your help, may this Easter mystery of our redemption bring to perfection the saving work you have begun in us. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

The priest raises the consecrated wine and genuflects after. Meanwhile, he says:

Singing of its acclamation Sign of Peace Priest: Lord Jesus Christ, you said to Your apostles: I leave you peace, may peace I give you. Look not on our sins, but on the faith of your Church, and grant us the peace and unity of your kingdom where you live forever and ever.

Light will be turned on to highlight the Blessed Mothers statue. Meanwhile, flowers are being brought up to the statue. (Procession will be done by the servers)

Lord, you have nourished us with your Easter sacraments. Fill us with your spirit and make us one in peace and love. We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Commentator: Amen.
