Commentator: Good evening. Our presider for tonights solemn vigil is Reverend Father _____________________ of the Society of Jesus. All please rise and face the entrance of the chapel.
All light of the Chapel are put out.
Blessing of Fire Priest: Dear friends in Christ, on this most holy night and live with him for ever in God.
Then the fire is blessed.
Let us pray

Father, we share in the light of your glory We ask this through Christ our Lord. Commentator: Amen. Preparation of the Paschal Candle
After the blessing of the fire, a server brings the Easter candle to the celebrant, who cuts a cross in the wax with a stylus. Then he traces the Greek letter alpha above the cross, the letter omega below, and the numerals of the current year between the arms of the cross. Meanwhile, he says:
Christ yesterday and today the beginning and the end Alpha and Omega All time belongs to him and all the ages To him be glory and power through every age and for ever. Amen.
After the marks have been made, the priest puts five grains of incense into the candle, saying:

All light their candle from the Easter candle and continue in the procession. Moving towards the sanctuary, the priest stops in the middle aisle, lift the Easter candle and sings:

When the priest arrives before the altar, he faces the people and sings:
Commentator: We lift them up to the Lord. Priest: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
Commentator: It is right to give him thanks and praise. Priest: All: It is truly right your Son who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen. (to be sung)

Pray, brethren, that our sacrifice may be acceptable to God, the almighty Father. May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name, for our good, and the good of all his church.
Prayer over the Gifts Priest: Lord, accept the prayers and offering of your people. With your help, may this Easter mystery of our redemption bring to perfection the saving work you have begun in us. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Commentator: We lift them up to the Lord. Priest: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

Father, all-powerful and ever-living God, we do well always and everywhere to give you thanks through Jesus Christ, our Lord
The priest continues his prayer.
And so, with all the choirs of angels in heaven, we proclaim your glory and join in their unending hymn of praise: Singing of Sanctus Commentator: All please kneel. Eucharistic Prayer Priest: Take this, all of you, and drink from it: this is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant. It will be shed for you and for all so that sins may be forgiven. Do this in memory of me.
The priest raises the consecrated wine and genuflects after. Meanwhile, he says:

V. Communion Rite
The Lords Prayer Priest: Let us pray with confidence to the Father in the words our Savior gave us.
Doxology Priest: Deliver us, Lord from every evil, and grant us peace in our day. In your mercy, keep us free from sin and protect us from all anxiety as we wait in joyful hope for the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Singing of its acclamation Sign of Peace Priest: Lord Jesus Christ, you said to Your apostles: I leave you peace, may peace I give you. Look not on our sins, but on the faith of your Church, and grant us the peace and unity of your kingdom where you live forever and ever.
Commentator: Amen. Priest: The peace of the Lord be with you always.
Commentator: And also with you. Priest: Let us offer each other the sign of peace.
All make an appropriate sign of peace.

Happy are those who are called to his supper. Lord, I am not worthy to receive you, but only say the word and I shall be healed. May the body and blood of Christ bring us to everlasting life. Amen.

Act of Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary Commentator: All please rise.
Light will be turned on to highlight the Blessed Mothers statue. Meanwhile, flowers are being brought up to the statue. (Procession will be done by the servers)
