Goodwill Renovates Quincy Store; Grand Reopening Nov. 10 Store at 625 Southern Artery has brighter and bolder look
BOSTON (November 3, 2011) A portion of Southern Artery in Quincy just got a bold, new colorful look. The Goodwill Store at 625 Southern Artery has completed a major renovation, including bright new signs and a new layout. Goodwill will officially unveil the new format at a reopening event on Thursday, November 10, from 9 to 10 a.m., featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m. The renovations include a new floor plan that increases the amount of merchandise in the store, new fixtures to better display merchandise, a new cash station to speed up the check-out process, and new paint. The Quincy community has a long tradition of supporting Goodwill as it helps individuals achieve independence and dignity through work, said Joanne K. Hilferty, president and CEO of Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries. We are grateful to the residents of Quincy and neighboring communities for supporting the store through their purchases and their donations of clothing and household goods. The overall renovation is part of Goodwills new I will Goodwill branding for its 11 stores in eastern and central Massachusetts. The new branding featured in the new store and departmental signs emphasizes the will in Goodwill with calls for personal action and involvement, such as I will donate, I will help, and I will give. Goodwills mission independence and dignity through work is also displayed throughout the store. The campaign was created by national branding and design firm Corey McPherson Nash.

The shopping and donating experience should be enhanced with these renovations, said Terry Fitzpatrick, Goodwills vice president of retail enterprise. Shoppers will find more merchandise in the stores and find it easier to shop. Fortunately, weve been able to make these improvements without raising our prices.
