What is Yuvaratri?
Yuvaratri, is an occasion celebrating the Youth of
India.(this is imp, for some one reading it first time shuld get it right here)
It is the first Mega Event being organized by WAYE (World Alliance for Youth
Empowerment) – the youth force of the world-renowned Art of Living
(probably frm organizing point of view it sounds ok , but I find it limiting, I
mean the youth force…………..) Expecting the participation of thousands of
youth, Yuvaratri will be the country’s most ‘impactful’ youth festival!
This box is important again, even before we explain , wht follows
There are few universal facts that are stronger in appeal, good to put them
The event will bring together young people, who are M.A.D. (Making
A Difference!) the world over, and provide them with a platform to
share their inspirational experiences – the idea being to stir their
fellow youths from apathy, cynicism or slumber and kindle joint
spirited action. Yuvaratri invites young people onto a path that
leverages India’s glorious past and invests skilfully in the present
so as to own the future – a future where it is glamorous to do good,
fashionable to be friendly, in vogue to be non-violent, cool to be
non-corrupt and savvy to court success without stress!
first, that’s why gt this box up, if we appeal then details nt a problem, this
hold true fr all sponsors, media whoever supporting, the event.

Any nation is as good as its citizens – especially its young people. So if the
youth of this country become apathetic and lethargic, India becomes
apathetic and lethargic. To uphold the vibrant dynamic spirit of our nation –
its raw (raw too strong a word in this document can be misinterpreted, u can
choose to ignore it)youth power – WAYE created Yuvaratri – a night that
makes a Statement; a night that brings together leaders, both present and
future.

To be held in the presence of H.H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar (Founder, The Art of
Living & The International Association for Human Values), it is slated to be an
unprecedented evening (more nuteral terms like performing arts,culture. of
song and dance, music and meditation, wit and wisdom (for someone nt
totally attuned to meditaion but wanting to associate with the Event fr its
scale, mayb a little wage, so u culd probably say the evening, and then say
hw ul translate it in the series of events).
A celebration of the power, potential and spirit of our nation’s youth
force ( this is an interesting line,apt and clear), to be expressed thro song
and dance etc……..
Yuvaratri will launch a peaceful revolution to empower the individual
and our country by presenting a forum that combines progress and
fun, talents and transformation, service and celebration!

Yuvaratri Theme
“Seven” the Universal binding (saying this because it looks like we are
looking at a broader picture) thread runs across the entire event to signify/
symbolising
– seven colours of light,
– seven notes of music,
– seven things India contributes to the world,
– seven major problems (we as youth) would like to tackle,
– seven avenues for action, and so on.
“Seven” also signifies “togetherness” – “saath saath”; i.e.
working and moving forward – together!

Amidst all the fun and entertainment at Yuvaratri /amidst this

magnanimous event , WAYE will launch its Seven Focus Areas.

Event Highlights

Yuvaratri will also see the official launch of WAYE – a coming out party so
to speak! However, it will be a party with a difference – for while everyone
present will have a gigantic dose of sheer fun (which means drinking,
smoking and drugs will be strictly prohibited!), they will also be looking at
what all of us, collectively, can do about the various problems facing India
and the world today. A few people raising their voices for a desired social
change can go unheard, but when a huge number of people raise their
voices, then that makes a very loud noise indeed – hopefully loud enough
to set at least a few things right!

Brief Introduction of WAYE

Formally established in September 2006 under the aegis of the world-

renowned Art of Living, the World Alliance for Youth Empowerment (WAYE)
serves as a much needed platform for youth empowerment. Inspired by H.H.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the focus of this global NGO is youth and youth related
issues. Its primary concern is to ensure that mainstream youth don't become
marginalized, AND that they are empowered to contribute to societal reform.

In less than a year of operation (mayb u want to elaborate this aspect of

operation, what does it mean? And what r we doing as agroup, contributed
to…….we need to enumerate very briefly here) , WAYE is currently active in
the USA, Canada, UK, Norway, Germany, Holland, Poland, Russia, Croatia,
Slovenia, Egypt, Kenya, Australia, New Zealand, and 22 cities across India.

Over all it seems fine to me, it has everything, however u may nt need the
entire document for any particular group, unless someone at the ministry or
whatever, we’l hav to come up wth versions fr the target groups, like media,
entertainment guys, sponsors, make it sound beneficial fr that group to
associate, even for college students.

We are getting lots of celebrities from various fields like films, sports,
business, politics, etc. to give video bytes or quotes about Yuvaratri.

Now you have to send me quickly as many as 1/2/3 liners that these
Celebrities could say for Yuvaratri which can be used on yuvaratri, before
yuvaratri as publicity or after yuvaratri as something to leverage upon.
Basically you have to do the thinking for the celebs. What are the right kind
of messages they would like to give to the youth?! But you could intelligently
use words like YES, so they also do branding for YES… (YES Plus becomes too
specific and evident:-) (something like “say yes to life, no to drugs”)
Some of the bytes could also have words like India, Youth, Yuvaratri… they
could be funny, punchy, rhyming….
Please keep them coming as your fertile and creative brain keeps throwing up
ideas…
