Thanks to Allah who has mercy on me, so this paper can be completed on time and accordance with the provisions. I realized of deficiencies in this paper. Because of that, I expect criticism and suggestions for improvements in the future.

CHAPTER I. INTRODUCTION

3.1 Background In pediatrik nursing care requiring specialized skills, because the patient that we care is a children who have not stabil emotional. In providing nursing care to pediatric patients, a nurse must can be invite the patient to work together (if the pateints can invite to comunicated). Whereas in patients with a baby or a low level of consciousness, then the nurse should involve the families of patients in nursing actions. Efforts of nursing care in children is not only focused on the provision of curative services and rehabilitaitf, but also includes aspects of prevention and promotif. In Indonesia are not many nurses who choose to work as a pediatric nurse. This is supported by the public's understanding of the nurses who still think that the nurses as physician assistants. As a prospective nurses, we must change society's view, one of them by way of its specialist nursing education.

3.2 Formulation Of The Problem a. What is maternity of nursing? b. Who is the target of maternity of nursing? c. How the role of nurses in the maternity nursing? d. How the documentation of nursing care of maternity?

CHAPTER II. DISCUSSION

2.1 The Explanation Of Maternity Nursing Maternity nursing is a form of professional nursing services which are directed to the mother during child-bearing age (WUS) related to the reproductive system, pregnancy, childbirth, between two pregnancies and newborns up to age 40 days, and their families, with a focus on fulfillment of basic needs in adapting to physical and psychosocial well-being of families to achieve by using the nursing process approach. Maternity Nursing is a preparation for labor and the quality of health services that are carried out and focused on the needs of bio-physical and psychosocial from clients, families, and newborns (May & Mahlmeister, 1990). Maternity Nursing is a professional quality service that is focused on the needs of physical and psychosocial adaptation of the mother during the process of conception / pregnancy, childbirth, Post partum, family, and the newborn with emphasis on family as a central service approach (Reede, 1997).

2.2 Target Of Maternity Of Nursing Intended target by maternity nursing are the ones who will receive services from maternity nurses. There are: a. women of childbearing age b. men of childbearing age c. pregnant woman and her fetus d. women during childbirth e. post partum women up to 6 weeks f. babies aged 40 days.

2.3 The Role Of Nurses In The Maternity Nursing Maternity nurse's role in the area of maternity nursing such as: a. care giver Nurses provide nursing services through a holistic nursing care. nurse helps the client to meet their needs because of several factors, such as disability or limitation, the willingness or both of them. b. advocat Role of the nurse as advocate applied one of them by protecting client rights such as freedom to choose drugs. c. educator Nurse's role as educator is to provide health education and health promotion to improve health. d. change agent An application from the nurse's role as a reformer for example by changing the public mind. for example, thought the public to services delivered shaman in turn to a more health care professionals such as nurses.

2.4 Maternity Nursing Care Component of maternity nursing care including: a. Assesment Things that were examined including the identity, physical examination, history of previous illness, and a history of hereditary disease. b. Diagnosis Statement of symptoms. c. Intervention Nursing intervention consisted of two things, namely the statement of long-term goals and expected outcomes. d. Implementation Implementation of nursing based on nursing problems that arise. nursing diagnoses based on the problem , etiology,

e. Evaluation Evaluation of nursing is based on the actions that have been implemented.
