ALARM POINT of the Lung. On the craniomedial edge of the radius, immediately proximal to the medial styloid process. 1.5 cun proximal to the transverse crease of the carpal joint. Caudal to the extensor carpi radialis and cranial to the m. abductor pollicus longus. MASTER POINT of head/neck/lungs. Located proximal to the coronary band, on the caudomedial aspect of the forelimb, just cranial to the medial collateral cartilage. TING POINT.Well Point.

II E: LARGE INTESTINE MERIDIAN EQUINE [up] LI 1 Proximal to the coronary band, on the craniomedial aspect of the forelimb. TING POINT.Well Point. On the medial side of the foreleg, distal to the base of the second metacarpal bone, between the second and third metacarpal bones.(Under the head of the medial splint bone) MASTER POINT of face/mouth. Source Point. In a large depression on the (medial) radial side of the carpus between the second and third carpal bones.River Point. Three cun proximal to LI 5 between the extensor carpi radialis and common digital extensor. Two cun proximal to LI 6, on the lateral surface of the forelimb in the groove between the common digital extensor and extensor carpi radialis. MASTER POINT of head/neck/lungs. At the junction of the proximal and middle third of

the lateral surface of the radius. In the muscular groove between the extensor carpi radialis and the common digital extensor. Two cun below LI 11. In a depression cranial to the elbow when flexed, in the transverse cubital crease. One cun cranial to the humeral condylar crest. Sea Point. In a depression on the cranial border of the scapula, two thirds of the way between TH 15 and the point of the shoulder. At the intersection of the cranial margin of the suprascapular muscle and the caudal margin of the brachiocephalicus muscle, cranioventral to the first thoracic vertebra. (The brachiocephalicus comprises the cleidomastoideus and the cleidobrachialis muscles.) Craniodorsal to LI 16 on the dorsal border of the sternocleidomastoid muscle at the level of C 6. Dorsal to the jugular vein, on the cranial border of the mandible when the head is extended. Caudal to the nares on the lateral side of the caninus muscle. Half way round the nares, behind the cartilage. On the opposite of the face from the rest of the meridian.

III E: STOMACH MERIDIAN EQUINE [up] At the intersection of the medial and middle one third of the lower eyelid. Ventral to the medial canthus of the eye, at the bifurcation of the jugular vein. Between the sternocephalicus muscle and the ventral aspect of the brachiocephalic muscle, one hand dorsocranial to the point of the shoulder.

Located 1.5 cun lateral to the umbilicus. Alarm Point for Large Intestine. One finger width lateral to the tibial crest, on the craniolateral side of the tibia, over the cranial tibialis muscle. Sea Point. Proximal to the coronary band, on the cranial midline of the hindlimb. Well Point. TING POINT.

IV E: SPLEEN MERIDIANEQUINE [up] SP 1 Proximal to the coronary band, on the caudomedial aspect of the hindlimb, just cranial to the medial collateral cartilage. Well Point. TING POINT. Located 3 cun proximal to the proximal tip of the medial malleolus, caudal to the tibial border, cranial to the large lateral head of the deep (long) digital flexor muscle, medial to GB 39. MASTER POINT of caudal abdomen/urogenital system. In a depression on the distal border of the medial condyle of the tibia, over the lateral head of the deep digital flexor muscle and the saphenous vein. Sea Point. Located 2 cun proximal to the patella, in the depression in the belly of the vastus medialis muscle. Flexing the stifle aids in locating this point. In the 4th intercostal space, 2 cun ventral to the level of the scapulohumeral junction, under the triceps muscle. At the 10th intercostal space at the level of the scapulohumeral junction.

In the center of the axilla, medial to the axillary artery, between the lateral surface of the trunk and the medial surface of the forelimb, over the pectoralis ascendens muscle. On the caudal aspect of the radius, proximal to the accessory

carpal bone at the insertion of the flexor carpi ulnaris at the level of the carpus. Stream Point. Proximal to the coronary band, on the caudo lateral aspect of the forelimb, just cranial to the collateral cartilage. Well Point. TING POINT.

VI E: SMALL INTESTINE MERIDIAN EQUINE [up]

Proximal to the coronary band, on the craniolateral aspect of the forelimb. Well Point. TING POINT. In the fossa caudal to the humerus on the caudal border of the deltoids and between the long and lateral heads of the triceps brachii. Between the second and third cervical vertebrae, on the dorsal border of the brachiocephalicus muscle. Dorsal to the temperomandibular jointand ventral to the intertragic notch. In the indentation of the rostromedial corner of the ear base.

Caudal to the ear, in a depression caudal to the wings of the atlas, 2 cun ventral to the mane, between the splenius and brachiocephalicus muscles. BL 11 T2/3 Three cun lateral to the dorsal midline, between the second and third thoracic vertebrae. Cranial to the withers, over te cervical portion of the trapezius muscle. INFLUENTIAL POINT of Bone. BL 12 T4/5 One cun lateral to the spinous process between the fourth and fifth thoracic vertebrae at the highest point of the withers. Start of outer meridian. BL 26 L6/S1 Three cun lateral to the dorsal midline, between the spinous processes of the sixth lumbar and first sacral vertebrae. Midpoint in the transverse crease of the popliteal fossa, between the biceps femoris and semitendinosus muscles.Sea Point. MASTER POINT of caudal back/hips BL 54 Midway on a line connecting Baihui (L/S midline) and the graeter trochanter of the hip. BL 60 Located between the lateral malleolus of the tibia and the tuber calcus at the level of the proximal tip of the lateral malleolus. BL 67 Proximal to the coronary band, on the caudolateral aspect of the hindlimb, just cranial to the lateral collateral cartilage. Well Point. TING POINT.

In a depression between the medial malleolus and the tendocalcaneous, at the level of the proximal tip of the medial malleolus. Directly opposite BL 60 which is on the lateral side. Stream Point. Between the sternum and the first rib, over the descending pectoral muscle.

Caudoventral to the neck of the scapula and caudodorsal to the greater tubercle of the humerus at the caudal margin of the shoulder joint, over the deltoideus muscle. (opposite LI 15) In the depression over the dorsal edge of the scapula at its junction with the scapular cartilage, dorsal to the 3rd intercostal space. It lies over the cervical part of the trapezius muscle. Caudoventral to the mastoid process, between the 1st and 2nd cervical vertebrae, over the caudal border of the brachiocephalicus muscle muscle and cranial to SI 16. On the external rim of the orbit, at the end of the eyebrow.

ALARM POINT of Gallbladder. Midway between the caudal border of the costochondral junction of the 18th rib and the lumbar muscles. ALARM POINT of Kidney. In a depression half way between the wings of the ilium and the greater trochanter of the femur. In a depression caudoventral to the greater trochanter of the femur. In the interosseus space between the tibia and fibula, between the long and lateral digital extensor, craniodistal to the head of the fibula. INFLUENTIAL POINT of Tendons. Sea Point. Proximal to the coronary band, on the craniolateral aspect of the hindlimb. Well Point. TING POINT.
