Dance was not yet a show or skills or performances but it is normally done in a ritual or to celebrate some festivals celebrated by the natives. In most ancient civilizations, dancing before the god is an important element in temple ritual. In Egypt the priests and priestesses, accompanied by harps and pipes, perform stately movements which mime significant events in the story of a god, or imitate cosmic patterns such as the rhythm of night and day. Myths related with the Greek god Dionysus are notably similar to those that surround the Egyptians' Osiris. According to the philosopher Aristotle, Greek disaster started in the myth of Dionysus' birth. He narrates that the poet Arion was responsible for establishing the foundation theatrical form, one that integrated dance, music, spoken words, and attires. In all dances there was a principal dancer who was the leader of these presentations. As the form developed, the principal dancer became something similar to what would now be considered a combination choreographer and performer. Slowly when it came to the ruling of the roman, techniques are than used to be performed on stage. It all started with drama, famous novel written were all turned into plays, but in plays, dance slowly overtook it. They started by telling stories to the audience not by words but by body movements and physical emotions. There are so many types of dances now compared to the past and many still remains its culture. For instance, in ballet itself, there are a few types of them such as Balanchine method, Vaganova method, Cecchetti and Contemporary Style. These dances were then made into careers, business for people to earn a living by teaching, performing and many more. Finally, dance is also known as an industry but it was so long ago and I could not find a specific date for it.

They gain profit through performances, giving dance classes, help other people to choreograph a dance and many more including the fame of the company. It is mostly a Sole Proprietorship or a partnership. Imagine owning a fun and financially rewarding business teaching people how to dance. You can when you open a dance studio. It is normally a sole proprietorship business because do not really require too many people to handle one. It is also sometimes a partnership because there may be two people owning the studio.

But in the dance industry, I noticed that they do not advertize as much but they use performances to advertize the quality of the dance company. A dance company always believes that in a society where globalization, urbanization, multiculturalism and information technology are prominent, dance has a major role to play. After an interview with my ballet teacher, Ms Gan Yee Fen, she said that dancing is not just to perform, or to be dramatic and be out of control! It is all about feeling our body, using muscles that we may not even know exist, its an exercise. Discipline and a winning attitude must always be in a dancers spirit and I hope that everybody can understand. In the other hand, my contemporary teacher, Ms. Sharon Marie Barilla, said that dancing is the aid to stress reliving. It helps us to be who we are, and clear our mind from all the works, studies and many more. From these two interviews, I now understand that the dance industries provide the community with discipline and help us to release stress. The most important thing to be a performer is his/her attitude. They must have discipline at all time and attend classes every day. To be a professional dancer or to work with a dance company, one must go for classes which last 12 hours every day (12 hours is not enough for some dance company). Furthermore, to be a performing artist, they must not have stage fright and exaggerating facial expressions. It is also important that you have attractive appearance. To get in a company is not an easy job to do so as you must be outstanding and catch the eye of the principle during auditions within hundred over people. Many dancers choose this as their career after graduate as it is easier and some think that it is fun doing what you like to do daily. A career as a dance teacher proposes a growing range of opportunities. A dance teacher must not only know how to teach the syllabus, but to be able to choreograph a dance, have some knowledge of the history of dance and most importantly, the various techniques in dance. Teachers can also study about anatomy and physiology to share them with their students or even help their students if any minor injury occurs.

Choreography is actually to write a dance or so call dance composition. The people who create choreographies are called choreographers. Sometimes the choreographers are dancers; however they do not have to be a dancer to choreograph professionally. Choreographers create a dance for the dancers normally with a storyline in their head and they teach the dancers the steps to communicate to the audience through body movement. The choreographers may also need to have a detailed knowledge of different dance techniques. As in ballet, we have a few techniques such as Balanchine method, Russian Vaganova method, Italian Cecchetti method and even contemporary ballet. This job is mainly for those who work as a workshop leader or teacher to let the dance community to expand. This career usually includes working in a specific geographical area as part of regional arts and community agencies teaching, choreographing and organizing dance programs and projects. They normally work with young people, people with disabilities, the elderly as well as schools. They provide the opportunity to let people to express themselves through dancing and releasing their creativity physically. Community dance is a extensive range of activities that bring dance artists in contact with the public, they usually do lots of charity and perform in temples or other events just to let the community enjoy. Administration/management As the dance industry develops, they need people to help them organize the shows and classes and to manage one studios registration and all activities related with dance. They are the ones sitting at the lobby and register our names and organizing dance concerts, performance tours, and even workshops or outreach programs. They are also responsible for the financial aspects, business and legal problems. In many dance organizations around the world, the administration is the ones whom set up and manage seasonal festivals and dance projects.

Dance notation mainly refers to scoring. This job in general is known as the examiner or a judge. They are normally famous and are qualified to be one. They offer the dancer with choreographic

score by recording movement using symbols in order to analyze. They judge the dancers by their skills and techniques and many detailed things such as facial expressions and the choreography. Examiners and judges are mostly highly skilled in their profession. Below are a few examples:

Journalist normally writes for national newspapers as a dance critic or publications for the public to know. We must first know to dance before we can take pictures of the dancers said a photographer in Just Dance magazine issue 7. For example, there is a show call Fashion Police on television and that job is an example of what a critic does, but first, they must really know things about the topic. The journalism and criticism watches the dance performances then writes analysis for a newspaper or magazine describing and\or giving an opinion about the company or individual pieces. Normally, many dance journalist have completed dance degree but many others have a general interest in arts.

The technical production teams are the ones who m work backstage throughout the shows and make sure that the show runs smoothly. They are those who took care of the lightings, sound systems and the stage design. Without them, a show will not be successful. They are so call the designers of the show. They are the designers of the colorful, magnificent costumes for the dancers to perform. They also can be the makeup artist for the dancers or show production. Without the education of dances, they may not know what materials suit the dancers best in the style of dance. Furthermore, they will also know how the dancers should look on stage with their storyline of the performance. Below are a few examples of costumes:

The dance therapist usually works within dance communities to help people with physical, mental health and emotional difficulties. They normally do research and learn different ways to help the dancers continue dancing. Some of these therapists even teach skills to warm up before dancing in their ways to prevent injuries.
