The Sugar Research and Development Corporation (SRDC) is an Australian Government statutory corporation that invests $12m annually

in research and development (R&D) to foster an innovative and sustainable Australian sugar industry. SRDC has a dedicated high performing team of 8 people based in Brisbane CBD who multitask to achieve both excellence in R&D investment performance and in meeting reporting and accountability obligations. SRDC invites applications for the following position.

Operations Manager
Key support to Executive Director in business operations CBD Brisbane Salary range $70-90K plus 15.4% super

This position is a key support role to the Executive Director, responsible for the oversight of corporate services that underpin the Corporations core functions in R&D investment. A key challenge of this role will be to add value to our operations through the efficient and effective use of our limited internal resources. You will have qualifications and proven experience in a broad range of high quality administrative and operational services. Experience in corporate governance and statutory reporting, and in liaison with accounting and legal services is essential. Well developed problem solving, communication and negotiation skills along with teamwork skills are essential in this role. More importantly, a hands-on proactive approach is what will make you successful in this role. Key Result Areas of the Operations Manager position: Service Delivery Management: Oversee SRDCs administrative operations and personnel functions Coordinate team meetings and actions to achieve business goals Plan and oversee implementation plans for SRDC hosted events Other specific projects as agreed with the Executive Director Finance Management: Liaise with the Corporations external accountants to deliver monthly and annual Financial Reports that meet statutory and legal requirements Compliance and Risk Management: Review, implement and report on risk and fraud control management, business continuity, disability policy and OHS Ensure that the Corporation acts in accordance with all forms of government legislation

IT Management: Manage the IT operations of the Corporation to ensure that IT Systems fulfil SRDCs requirements Liaise with external contractors Team Participation: Multi-task as an effective member of SRDCs Management Team Ownership of SRDCs agreed team rules and values
