DIRECTIONS: 1. Working with your partner, perform the task in each station. READ EACH TASK INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU START PERFORMING THE TASK. Ask your partner to put a mark for each successful trial in a task. Put an X mark if not. 2. You and your partner can start in any station. Proceed to the station with fewer people. Ask another pair of players to check off station 9 and 10 for you and your partner. 3. For station 2, write the letter of the rule not followed according to the rules listed below. 4. Submit this worksheet to the teacher at the end of the period. You should be able to finish all the tasks.

Stand behind the line and serve 5 times for both backhand & forehand, concentrating on timing the drop and swing. Repeat task 1 but concentrating now on the rules. Your partner will check your serve and will write the letter of the rule not followed according to the rules listed below. A. The shuttlecock is strucked below the level of the waist. B. The entire racket head is below the level of the hand holding the racket (pointing diagonally downward). C. Both feet are in contact with the floor during the serve, and not lifted or dragged (the heel or toe may be lifted as long as the foot remains on the floor. Move to the wall area and stand behind the first taped line on the floor and do 5 consecutive backhand serves trying to contact the target (paper) on the wall. Then, move back to the second taped line on the floor and repeat. Repeat task 3 but do 5 consecutive forehand serves, trying to contact the target (paper) on the wall. Then, move back to the second taped line on the floor and repeat. Stand in the FRONT INSIDE CORNER area of the court with no net and do 10 backhand serves into the FRONT COURT AREA of the opposite diagonal court. Refer to FIGURE 1 for placement areas. Repeat Task 5, but use forehand to serve into the BACK COURT AREA. Refer to FIGURE 1 for placement areas. Move to a court with a net. Using backhand serve, practice 5 short and low serves to the FRONT COURT AREA. After practicing, ask your partner to check your serves. Repeat task 7 but use forehand for long and high serves to the BACK COURT AREA. After practicing, ask your partner to check your serves.

Serve SHORT AND LOW using backhand serve while your partner CLEARS/HITS the served shuttlecock. Do this 5 times, then reverse roles. Ask another pair of players to check this task for you and your partner. 10. Repeat task 9, this time serve LONG AND HIGH using forehand serve while your partner CLEARS/HITS the served shuttlecock. Do this 5 times, then reverse roles. Ask another pair of players to check this task for you
