Conveyor object sorting using MATLAB

A conveyor system is a common piece of mechanical handling equipment that moves materials from one location to another. Conveyors are especially useful in applications involving the transportation of heavy or bulky materials. Conveyor systems allow quick and efficient transportation for a wide variety of materials, which make them very popular in the material handling and packaging industries. Many kinds of conveying systems are available, and are used according to the various needs of different industries. Sorting Conveyors provide an affordable and convenient method for sorting and processing a wide range of recyclables. Simply feed various materials onto the conveyor belt This is an industrial automation based application. It shows the concept of a normal conveyor belt but with some intelligence, we can also call it as intelligent conveyor belt. It has the ability to sort the object of different colour. Thus help to avoid colour malfunctioning in production machines. In the core of the project we can use microcontroller in this particular model like AVR ,PIC and 8051 and for software side we can use MATLAB. We shall also need a webcam to identify a color of an object.
