001. GENERAL CONDITIONS: The work called in this project is the supply of complete labor and materials for the construction of this new Proposed 1 (one) storey Residential Building. All works shall be done in a workmanlike manner. All portion involving concrete and steel shall conform with the latest revised edition of ACI-318-68; electrical portion with the latest revised edition of the NEC, PEC, and NEA regulations and with the city or municipal ordinances; plumbing with the latest revised edition of the Plumbing Code of the Philippines. 002. EXCAVATION AND BACKFILLING: Excavate only to required depth. No backfilling is allowed unless approved by the Architect or Civil Engineer in charge of the construction. Filling shall be limited to 8 layer, well tamped, jetted with water and leveled for the next layer. 003. CONCERETE AND MASONRY: All mixture shall be 1:2:4.It shall have at least three (3) shiftings. Retamped concrete is not allowed for filling material. Mortar shall be 1:2 mixture. 004. HOLLOW BLOCKS: Concrete hollow blocks (CHB) shall be manufactured to a mixture of 1:7 mixture. Cavities shall be filled with the same proportion of sand and cement. 005. WOOD MEMBERS: Wood members shall be laua-an or better. It shall be applied dried by sun or kiln. Members shall be well plumbed, well centered and fitted tight. Exposed members shall be well smoothed. 006. ROOFING: Corrugated G.I. sheets shall be Ga.#26. They shall be tight revitted to purlins, every other corrugation for laps and every three (3) to (4) corrugations for intermediate purlins. Gutters shall be 4 at the bottom., 8 depth and 6 wide on top. Downspout shall be 2x4 cross section. All joints shall be well soldered and washed at the end of the days work. 007. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: Unless otherwise specify by the owner, the following shall be followed ; 1. Switches shall be five (5) feet above floor lines, main disconnect and fuse out shall be at least six (6) feet from floor line. 2. Convenience outlets shall be twelve inches (12) above floor line and six inches (6) above counter tops. 3. Ceiling outlets shall be centered in the room ceiling. All wiring in concrete or CHB walls shall be protected by rigid conduit or PVC pipes. Exposed wiring maybe allowed on wood and ceiling provided with necessary insulator and split knob spacers. Service entrance shall be in rigid conduit or PVC or in flexible armored cable of at least 2-#12 TW wire stranded. All joints shall be well taped. 008. PAINTING: Painting shall be in accordance with the manufacturer s specifications and instructions. Only skilled painters shall be employed.
