SCOPE This Packaging Material Specification covers the requirements for Printed and Microwave Tube Bags. The Printing, Tubing and Packaging under this Document must comply with the particulars outlined in this document of this specification. All materials used and the finished product must meet the requirements of all applicable food laws and shall be free from defects which will prevent the material from serving its intended function. II.

General Requirements A. Printing All printing to match art approved by customer to result in printed dimension corresponding to keyline dimensions minus shrink factor. Print must be clean and PCI

Inks
No off odors should emit from the inks during microwave heating. Inks will have adequate grease and heat resistance such that no ink will be transferred to the microwave open floor during cooking or to the seal bars during sealing.

LAMINATED WEB PROPERTIES A. Lamination Lamination will be sufficient to produce 85% fiber tear between all laminations at room temperature. Susceptor to greaseproof lamination must remain intact over at least 75% of the susceptor area after one popping cycle. Susceptor (Metal) to outer sheet laminations must be adhered over at least 75% of the susceptor area popping. Paper to paper lamination must remain intact over at least 85% of the surface after full popping cycle.

No more than 3/8 border of missing glue is allowed Around top, bottom and sides of susceptor. Lamination must extend to within 1/16 from edge of web on eyemark side and within 1/8 from edge of instruction side of web.

B. Heat Seal adhesive Heat seal adhesive will produce a continuous heat seal when sealed on proper equipment. No odor should emit from heat seal adhesive during popping. Heat Seal adhesive print should be uniformly applied across entire pattern area. Web will unwind freely from rolls with no blocking occurring between web layers. C. Gusset Adhesive - Front side gusset heat seal adhesive - Bottom of back side heat seal adhesive D. Top & Bottom Inside PVA heat seal 1. Heat Seal: 2.
