Question 1 What is ewaste and how it comes ? Ans: This age is computer age and peopleuse computer for their work eficiancy. Computer or electronic devices helps people to complet work first, esily and efectively. The envantion of computer is a grate achivement for the human socity but every good side has a nagetive side also computer is responsible for ewaste. The discarded electronic devices that enter the waste stream are called ewaste.This containts many harmful chemical like lead, oxides, barrium and marcury Ewaste is an form of monotor, priters, key-boards, CPUs, typewriters, PVC wires etc. So this device/ewaste mustbe recycal, without recycalling the chemical mixed into soil and create environmental pollution.

Question 3: Descrive Wipro activity to controll ewaste Ans: Wipro Infotech to take anvironmentally consious proactive staps for controlling ewaste. Wipro Infotach in a division of the US $2.39 billion Wipro Ltd. This company provides enteprise customers with high value information technology product, service, solutions and conseltation service in India. Wipro has been actively working on ewaste manaement since August, 2005. Wipro also create similer kind of awareness among its business associates. Under ewaste management system, Wipro has 15 collection center across the country. They collect ewaste from two sources 1) if a computer or its spare part is under Wipro active service and in the time of repaiar if any parts categorized as scrap then that parts cellected as ewaste, 2) if any organization and any individual customer can discard old computer as scrap and bring it to the nearest Wipro collection center. To disposal of ewast through this system involves logistics and handling cost of around $4 for a typical computer system. Wipro also helps customer in efficient management of valuable resoureces by helping them with identification of suitable ewaste disposal partners. Wipro also monitor the disposal of ewaste under environmental way.

Weather information, answers by expert panelists and so on, in local language. This system triggered a virtuous cycle of higher productivity, higher income, enlarged capacity for farmer risk management, larger investments, and higher quality and productivity
Question 1: What type s of decisions ITC make for his company is an operation to run effectively? Ans: ITC lunched an Endean or to recognized the value chain by setting up network of e-Chou pals across the country. E- Chou pals combines a web portal in the local language and pc with internet access. Placed in the village to create a two way channel between ITC and the villagers.
Ans: In Mandy system the quality or quantity of a product was very poor. By ITCs e Chou pals system increase their quality of a product and farmer can get real prices for their product.

Ans: The manager must make decisions for his companys daily operations to run effectively. He has to ensure smooth production, increase sales and create additional opportunities. In changing circumstances,his company operates a single manufacturing process where both custom and standard furniture are manufactured. But this decision creates many new problems. Which are as follows:(a) Lots of standard furniture piled up. (b) Cost associated with standard line are rising. (c) To accommodate the inventory volume, expensive public ware house space has to be reuted. (d) Increased lead times whis are causing longer delivery times. (e) Cost associated with standard line are rising. (f) Money is being tied up is inventing. (g) Finally profits are not what they should be. So, the problems of the manager to resolve are very grave .At present the company may run profitably, but the rate of profit will surely die down in the mean future if the production and sales related problems narrated above could not be solved smoothly and effectively with in short period of time.
Question 2: How did sales and marketing effect operations when they begun to sale standard pieces to retail outlets? Ans: When the company begun, selling popular pieces to retail furniture outlets, this move into retail outlets lead the company into the production of a more standard line of furniture. Buyers of this line were move prize sensitive. scedule lots of standard furniture piled up. Cost associated with standard line are rising. Money is being tied up in inventory. To accomodate the inventory volume,expensive public ware house space has to be reuted.Managers are concerned with increased lead times which are causing delivering times. Thus sales and marketing affect operations when the company began to sell standard prices to retail outlets.
Question 3: How has the move to producing standard furniture affected the companys financial structure? Ans: The companys finance and accounting have indicated that profits are not what they should be costs associated with the standard line are rising. Money is being tied up is inventory, both of raw materials and work in process .Expensive public warehouse space has to be ranted to accommodate the inventory volume. Managers are concerned with increased lead times for both custom and standard orders which are causing longer delivering times. Capacity is being pushed and no space is left in the plan for expansion.
Question 4: What could have the manager done differently to avoid some of the problems, he now faces? Ans: The company faces the problems now emerged at the production level, sales and marketing level and finally financial level all arises from the standard line of production. This line of production should be carefully checked out. The single manufacturing process is not a wise decision. A thread base revaluation of this process is badly needed. The further development of the company depends on this revaluation.
Question 3.Which type of decision should be taken to transform the two separate international team? Ans: A recent manager placed heavy load on software development team shortly it became clear that the project team was not going to be able to deliver the project on time. In a bold move, the team decided to enlist help of a software development firm in India. Steps were taken to transform the two separate international teams into a single, high performing team. Such as:Establishing planning at all level of the project, not just at the aggregat level. Establishing the processes that would faster consistent and open communication amonge team members, so as to minimize biases abd finger- pointing.
