ch 5 Row 1: ch 1, turn, sc in 2nd ch from hook and all the way across [5 sc total] Row 2 - 8 : repeat Row #1. Upon finishing Row #8, fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing. Finishing: Wrap the center tie tightly around the middle of the bow with the two ends meeting at the backside. [It's ok to squash the bow to pull the ends close enough to meet ]. Line up the edges so they match, then thread the long yarn tail with a needle and sew the two edges together to form a tight tube. Fasten off and weave in ends. Turn the bow over and fluff it out. Slide a hair clip, hair band, or other hair fastener through the back of the center tie and it's ready to wear. This also makes a super cute gift box topper: just slide some ribbon through the back of the center tie and then tie the ribbon around your package.
