Bituminous Geomembrane
Growing success
Developed thirty years ago, Coletanche has proved its resistance over time and its suitability for use on all types of support. Since its launch, this family of membranes has undergone many technical improvements and the range has been expanded and enriched to respond fully to requirements including the specific constraints of containing potentially risky materials or acid environments. To date more than ten million square meters of Coletanche (over one hundred million square feet) have been sold worldwide.

Solid waste storage
To prevent the spread of pollution through rain water, Coletanche is often used to protect stored industrial waste to cover tips and landfills.
Domestic Mining
Coletanche prevents damage due to pollution and helps preserve water resources and soil quality for future generations in conditions that remain compatible with todays industrial and domestic activities. Coletanche can be widely used in industry, in storage and leaching ponds for various liquid and solid wastes and on platforms for municipal solid waste bottom ash stabilization and compost.

Dams: used to waterproof dams and to upgrade upstream Canals: used to transport or utilize water, and protect embankments.
Irrigation Shipping
Coletanche provides storage and transport for an increasingly precious raw material water and it offers a better response to the ever increasing and diversified needs of human activities.

sColetanche
Coletanche provides protection against short-term, seasonal, accidental and chronic pollution associated with transport activities. Coletanche is also well-suited to minimize the impact of a contruction project in ecologically sensitive areas.

Benefits Coletanche
r r r r r r r r r
Capacity to support coverage of fine-grained soils and of asphalt and cement. Friction angle superior to that of all other geomembranes (34). Applicable in extreme weather conditions (rain, wind and cold). Welds to concrete, in all types of intrusive areas, as well as under water. Significant surface mass, with added ability to be anchored transversally, to prevent uplift in extreme wind areas. Increased resistance to puncture and tears. Resistance against chemical products and biological agents. Protection against gas superior to that of all other geomembranes. Remarkable dimensional stability, flexibility and durability.
Optimum Compatibility
Coletanche is compatible with most materials and can therefore be laid on most types of support with the minimum specific protection.
Maximum Quality
A strict quality assurance program applied during membrane manufacture and on-site installation ensures maximum quality. Welded seams can be checked with ultrasound test.
