ACO ParkDrain
THE NEXT GENERATION OF SURFACE DRAINAGE
Load Class (BS EN 1433:2002)
Optimum solution
ACO ParkDrain is a one piece polymer concrete drainage system which has been designed as the optimum solution for a wide range of surface drainage applications requiring Load Class C 250 installations.
Lower costs
It has been specically designed to reduce installation time and provide inexpensive maintenance over its whole life. It offers cost advantages for architects, engineers, contractors and clients.
Open-minded innovation
ACO ParkDrain is the result of over 30 years development of innovative surface drainage solutions for highways, local authority, retail, commercial and domestic users.
Standards compliance
ACO ParkDrain has been certicated to Load Class C 250 (BS EN 1433:2002) and BS EN 124:1994 for gully and access units. Contact ACO Technical Department for standards details and copies of Load Test certicates.
Standards compliance
ACO Mini ParkDrain has been certicated and CE marked to Load Class D 400 BS EN 1433:2002.

INNOVATION IN APPLICATION
ACO ParkDrain is the next generation of surface drainage with major advantages in car parks, pedestrianised areas and hard-landscaped locations. Its one piece design with integral grating means it is not vulnerable to vandalism or loosening. Rodding Access units and the universal Sump unit ensure easy maintenance. It is a product especially recommended to be used in schools where children play due to its monoblock composition it has no removable parts which could lead to injury. Its Load Class C 250 certication means it can be deployed in a wide number of locations where light vehicle trafc can be expected.
Its unique colouring means it can either be unobtrusively blended with its surroundings - e.g. coloured as the adjoining pavement - or used as a marker or even signage e.g. coloured white or yellow to mark roads. The colour is maintained, no rubbing off or being dissolved. It is compatible with all types of paving materials, and the at sides enable pavements to be laid directly to the units edge.

The maximum catchment depth drained by the channel may be derived from the tables. For total ow Q (l/s); Catchment Depth CD (m); Length of channel to outlet Lo (m); Rainfall intensity i (l/s/m2) Then Q = CD x Lo x i. Hence CD = Q / (Lo x i)

Sump unit knockouts suit Constant Depth unit depths as indicated in the product table. ACO sump units allow two way drainage unit connection with discharge to sub-surface drainage.
Note: See product table to matching inlet/outlet endcap with correct drainage unit. Outlet endcaps are supplied as two components to be site assembled to suit ow direction.
1.0 Ground Conditions The customer should ensure that the minimum dimensions shown are suitable for the existing ground conditions. Engineering advice may be necessary. 2.0 Block Pavements The channel must be supported laterally and therefore blocks must be restrained from movement by bedding securely e.g. by using a Polymer Modied Mortar for bed and perpendicular joints (for example RONAFIX Mortar Mix C from Ronacrete: Tel 01279 638 700). Engineering advice may be required. 3.0 Surface Cracks Alternate crack control and movement joints transversely within bed and haunch may reduce unsightly surface cracking. 4.0 Joint Sealant Where ACO Drain channel joints and ttings are to be sealed (where used in foul water applications or where impermeability is required) contact a sealant specialist for guidance on the most appropriate sealing compound to use. 5.0 Surface Protection In asphalt pavements avoid contact between compaction equipment and channel/grating. This may be achieved by ensuring that the nished surface level lies above the grating level (by at least 3mm) Stones should be removed prior to laying/rolling wearing course.
