The 9 Wonders of Science 4-H Science Academy January 24-26, 2012 Overall, this event is a problem-based learning opportunity. Participants will work with their state teams to produce their state science program plan of work. This checklist is specifically for the Pre- Conference Webinar and will outline actions, content, and reasons for including the steps.

Share with the states/leaders/participants that the will have additional preconference work in order to prepare for the academy. We will have them prepare for the academy by: 1. reviewing their current state team plan and other readings for background 2. preparing a state report to the academy for January 24th evening session 3. complete a survey on-line by January 17th their thoughts on what may change (added or deleted from current plan).

We will frame the learning opportunity by focusing on the real-world issue they are facing: Creating a new state 4-H Science plan. This will establish the expectations that when they walk out the door on January 26th, their state will already have their new framework in place.
