Morgan McLain broke the school record in the 100-yard backstroke in a winning time of 58 seconds, and broke the record in the 400-yard IM in a time of 4:33.10 in prelims!

This is probably the first game that we were good both defensively and offensively at the same time. We went up by 15 early, and I knew theyd work their way back into the game, but we did a good job pulling away and being up 18 at the half, said head mens basketball coach Nagy. The Jacks rolled over University of North Dakota in a convincing 92-54 win on Dec. 10th at Frost Arena.

~ UND cut into the Jacks 15-point lead to as little as four point. ~ SDSU wasnt going to allow UND to get back into the game and surged ahead to claim a 39-21 lead as they headed into the locker room at halftime. ~ The Jacks lead by as much as 41 points at one point!! ~ SDSU shot a season-high 57 percent going 33-58 from the floor. ~ Nate Wolters led the Jackrabbits with 16 points.

Wrestling is a huge mental sport, and I need to focus on that. If I do that it is definitely in reach for me! Toughest opponent: Adam Hall. He is a tough wrestler because he can pick a part the other wrestler, which means you have to change your style of wrestling.

SDSU womens basketball had to overcome a night of cold-shooting, but managed to pull away down the stretch for a 60-49 win in nonconference action at Arkansas-Little Rock. This was the Jackrabbits third consecutive win, improving to 6-3 overall.

Play by Play

~ The Jacks started off strong by taking an 8-4 lead, but soon found themselves struggling with their shooting. ~ UALR took advantage of SDSUs shooting woes to grab its largest lead of the night, 15-8. ~ However, freshman Mariah Clarin ended the scoring drought with a putback basket and free throw. ~ SDSU came out of the locker room fired up and never looked back. ~ Jennie Sunnarborg nailed a three-pointer with just under minutes to play, and the Jacks sealed the victory by going 8-of-8 at the free throw line in the final two minutes. ~ Jill Youngs 13 points led the Jacks with Ashley Eide and Clarin both contributing nine points.
