Apart from the challenges of deregulation, consolidation and convergence of financial services worldwide required an innovative system of Insurance Software Solutions to the agencies for managing clients of multi agents providing insurance business management at a feasible cost features according to the relevant functionality. The Insurance Management System (IMS) is a fully automated and integrated policy processing system for agents to manage both personal and corporate customers. It is a reliable and cost-effective solution for carrying out all business-critical insurance processing functions. Insurance Management System Software solution helps to solve long-standing time-to-market challenge and solution can dramatically lessen the cost of policy ownership services. The system offer a focused, supported approach to provide a secure future for our clients through affordable solution that helps to meet their needs and expectations. This application allows the agent to manage the policies of different companies and thus maintain a wide range of customers. The policies are user definable as per the insurance company needs. The system allows searching and viewing the customer information across insurance companies, this will allow the agent to find out the policies taken by customer from different insurance companies.

Abstract IMS is important for insurance agencies because it keep pace with time and brings about the best results without malfunctioning and with greater efficiency so as to replace the unending heaps of files with the much sophisticated digital memory devices. It helps to reduce the burden on employees with its enhanced policy definition system and policy opening and policy closure mechanism. It helps agencies to work much easily and efficiently. The project is mainly based on the idea of developing fast, easy and reliable on-line customer service solution for the insurance agents and the customers. Once registered, the agents and customers can access the application from virtually anywhere through WWW. The solution provides the agents and customers with a wide range of services and information at their finger tips. The system is indented to replace a previous system in which the customers have to contact the agents or insurance department through phone or by person to get the required information or to avail a particular service. Some of the important functional aspects which come under the scope of the solution are briefed below. a) Take care of the activities of an insurance agent by providing them the flexibility and power of managing wide range of customer with different insurance policies even from different insurance companies. b) Managing Insurance agency c) Managing different policies of Insurance companies d) Agents can keep track of information of different insurance companies and can guide customers to find out a suited policy for them. e) Search facility to sort out customer centric policies f) Policy issue management g) Customers can also login to the system with his/her login id and password and can able to view details regarding his policy and payment details. h) Managing different type of offers and discounts available to customers.
