Query Can cultural differences account for the differences in the nature of hierarchical relationships between superiors n subordinates

in Germany, India, Japan, Singapore and US

Discussion: While putting a bird eye view of the statement, we understand the following. Since the statement depicts a relationship among two entities or rather two concepts following model can be identified.

IV
Cultural differences

DV
Differences in the nature of hierarchical relationships

By extending our focus on the model stated above and considering the statement itself. Since certain cultures (countries) are to be questioned or explored. Thus it means that a concept (model) is already built and the researcher wants to apply it to some other countries/cultures/situations. The word Can & the countries express a relationship and strengthen our idea as if the concept is already built. Lets take a look at a routine life example. Collision in a ball and a wall will result in the return of the ball towards the one who throws it. Let suppose we suggest Can the ball thrown towards a wall in Germany, India, Japan, Singapore and US come back to the thrower with the same velocity? Here the Newtons 3rd law has already been developed yet it might not been tested in the places mentioned above. Conclusion # 1: Body of knowledge is known (At least not exploratory)

Now lets proceed further, presence of certain places refers to a comparison between them while applying the same model with same Independent & dependent variable. Since there is no extension in the already known body of knowledge is observed. We may conclude that; Conclusion # 2: Type of design is Hypothesis Testing

Lets move a bit further if it hypothesis testing then we can see that the dependent variable may be affected by the independent variable thus it refers to level of association between the both. Conclusion # 3: Measure of Association As we can observe that the dependent variable changes with the independent we recommend it to be the dependency case. Conclusion # 4: Dependency There is only one dependent variable Conclusion # 5: One Dependent Variable Dependent variable doesnt seem to be affecting the Independent variable thus the association is causal. Conclusion # 6: Causal association With only one independent variable it recommends to be simple regression. Conclusion # 7: Simple Regression
