Cherat Cement

Cherat cement is a premier name in the field of cement manufacturing, and it was incorporated in 1981 and is listed on the Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad stock exchanges. The plant is located about 52 kilometers from Peshawar (KPK) near Nowshera. The factory is built on land bordering the Cherat Hills, the factory's source of high quality limestone. It is estimated that the limestone reserves are in excess of 400 million tons with more than sufficient quantity of slate. Cherat Cement has an ISO 9001:2000 certification and manufactures high quality grey portland cement on the most modem and computerized production facilities. It is equipped with the most updated production and quality control systems. Cherat Cement is one of the largest producers and suppliers of cement in the province of NWFP and Punjab and enjoys strong brand loyalty among its equality conscious customers. The production capacity of Cherat Cement is 2500 tons/ day.

Fauji Cement
Company was incorporated in Rawalpindi in 1992 and a longtime leader in the cement manufacturing industry, Fauji Cement Company, headquartered in Rawalpindi, operates a cement plant at Jhang Bahtar, Tehsil Fateh Jang, District Attock in the province of Punjab. The Company has a strong and longstanding tradition of service, reliability, and quality that reaches back more than 13 years and is Sponsored by Fauji Foundation. The cement plant operating in the Fauji Cement is one of the most efficient and best maintained in the Country and has an annual production capacity of 1.165 million tons of cement. The quality portland cement produced at this plant is the best in the Country and is preferred in the construction of highways, bridges, commercial and industrial complexes, residential homes, and a myriad of other structures, fundamental to Pakistan's economic vitality and quality of life. Erection & Commissioning of New Line with a Production capacity of 7200 TPD has been completed and Plant has started its production on 30th May 2011. ABB Switzerland (Electrical Equipment & PLC) In pursuance of its commitment to produce cement under stringent environment friendly conditions, the Company has taken the lead by installing first ever Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) Processing Plant at a cost of Rs. 320 Million. This project acts as a beacon to the entire industrial sector of the Country towards an environment friendly production, RDF is not only providing economical fuel to the Company but also contributing towards solving the problem of Municipal Garbage Disposal. Minimum 300-400 tons of garbage is being lifted from each garbage dump located at Rawalpindi and Islamabad. In addition, the other important advantages include reduced use of fossil fuel, lowering of green house gases in the atmosphere and availability of compost fertilizer as a by product.

Cement Pakistan Co. (CPC) is one of most prominent and energetic organization having operations and interactions with cement industry. Pakistan ranked 5th cement exporter in World Pakistan cement factories continue to make significant progress in cement exports. Pakistan now at 5th position has left Germany behind by exporting 11 million tonnes of cement during last fiscal year. Germany now stands at 6th position with 9 million tonnes exports. Cement market experts told that Pakistan secured 5th position because of high demand of cement in nearby countries and by capturing new markets such as African countries, Qatar & Iraq. Pakistan could achieve the mark of 13 to 14 million tonnes exports by the end of the fiscal year keeping in view Indian market which has once again started importing cement from Pakistan. The export of cement from Pakistan to india showed a sharp decline after Mumbai attacks.
