EIL(engineers india limited) consist of two section 1..Aptitude...50 marks 2..Technical...100marks.. each question carry equal marks. time limit is 2 hrs..question were easy... technical questions; it consist of 100 questions ...most questions were from instrumentation, power electronics power system, ..any body can refer to p.s.bhimbra non technical question; 4 to 5 question were from maths (simple ratio and proportion,venn diagram type) 4 to 5 analogy type questions.. simple general knowledge questions.. no passage, no reasoning.. cut off may vary from 110 to 115 your regards MD.FARAZ

Hi friends, I have given the test of EIL ENTRANCE for MT from EEE branch. I am going to share my experience of the exam. There are 150 total ques. in the paper. First section contains 50 from general awareness and then 100 from technical. In G.A. there are about 10 ques from vocab test , 30 from current affairs and gen. awareness, 5 from grammer and 5 from simple maths.No reasoning, no unseen passage. SUGGESTION- In the non tech. portion this time the pattern has been changed. so don't expect for a particular pattern. . In tech. portion, paper mostly include ques. from machine, power system, power electronics and electrical instrumentation. 40 ques from machine-induction motor mostly based on slip effect, torque and controlling related problems.some are from transformer and d.c. machine. no que from synch. machine. 10-12 from power electronics mostly memory based.20-25 from power system..In instru, ques are mostly from electrical instruments(about 20 ques). 2-3 from control. No network question.No electronic portion. SUGGESTION- Ques are mostly memory based.only 5-6 are numerical. so go through any standard objective book. For m/c I think B.L.T. is most suitable.No limit in Power system

EIL PAPER ON 6th APRIL AT JAIPUR

As usual there were 150 questions. 50 of general knowledge and 100 technical. Negative marking-1/4 to wrong answer General knowledge questions were not very difficult. There no questions from resoninng and english. Also no question from aptitude section, it was pure gk.

On the technical questions from sections like machine, power system, cables,power electronics, control system, measurment etc. most of them were the basic questions. It was not very difficult at all.

One who has covered all these sections, can easily solve the paper. They were not also time consuming. So time was not the major concern.
