Current Project :: MUREX DATAMART REPORT,ACCOUNTING

ICICI Bank is the largest private sector bank in India. Deputed in the treasury department of the bank, responsibilities include collection of requirements from business users, analysis, development and deployment in the live system. It included development of reports in Oracle using actuate and data mart. The Murex - Data mart that provides the means to produce concise information such as P&L and audit figures from store data, thereby enabling a more intelligent analysis of the results and a possible interface with external system. The data mart is a separate subset of the production database, more specifically a repository of data gathered from operational data and other sources, presented in terms that are familiar, easy to access and use for a particular designed purpose, such as reporting. Forex and Derivatives Reports (duration 2 years+/Currently working ) : This project primarily deals with Forex, Money Market and Derivative configuration in Murex and based on configurations done in Murex, reports are generated using oracle and actuate for Forex, Money Market and Derivative products. Murex is risk management system used to manage Market risk, credit risk and trading risk. Wildly used by banks and financial institute. Responsibilities: Migration of reports from Murex 2.11 to Murex 3.1 We analyze the requirements and identify the class type of report if it can not be delivered from existing set of rep tables or it is costlier to derive from existing reports rather than creating new report. Based on above observation we create dynamic tables, which may access different transaction class with required filters needed to filter the selection of data. We create .REP table to be populated with the data by mapping above created dynamic table. We create feeder to populate .REP table. We create Oracle procedure or SQL to develop the business logic.

We design actuate files (.ROD) files to provide a front view to end user. We create batch of feeders, batch of reports and processing script in Murex to automate the report generation. We provide L1 and L2 supports for Murex Datamart report module.

Accounting ( duration 8 months+/Currently working ): This project basically deals with accounting configuration for all transaction types (Forex, Bonds, equity etc.) that includes creation of rules to generate accounting entries into respective defined accounts (Off-balance sheet, Balance sheet, Income statement) on occurrence of various events (Notional or Nominal payment, MTM, accruals etc) and also creation of FXREVAL rules for revolution of foreign currency accounts.

Responsibilities:

Currently responsible for doing migration from Murex 2.11.32 to 3.1 for accounting and reporting module. We analyze the requirements and identify the Accounting entries those should be posted into accounting journal during accounting EODs. We create the accounts and account formulas required for any accounting rule Based on transaction type of a trade, we define rule Based on the product, we configure various part of a rule for examplestandard filter, SI filter, Entity filter, Events, Accounts etc. We create FX complementary rules for foreign currency revolution into the accounts. We run the complete accounting EOD process in UAT to test the final accounting entries. UDF creation: Manual field, Lists and Checkbox. We provide L1 and L2 supports for Murex Accounting module As a Tester: Review of Unit test cases, Integration test cases of all the assigned modules. Testing of system or module or report behavior along with expected behavior as new requirements implemented in UAT as well as in production
