IPSF EMRO Subcommittees Positions 2011-12

Sub-Committees members work under the EMRO Regional Working Group and their work is more specific to certain activities. These positions require little or no travelling, although it is advisable to attend the 3rd EMPS in Sudan, the IPSF 58th World Congress in Egypt and your subcommittee meeting if one is scheduled. You should be able to work on a daily basis throughout the year in your position and have regular internet access. You must be reachable throughout your entire term.

If you are interested in a particular Sub-Committee position listed here, you should submit the completed nomination form together with your CV to the EMRO Secretary (secretary@emro.ipsf.org) before the deadline for applications. EMRO has three subcommittees listed below, EMRO Sponsorship Sub-Committee, EMRO Regional Relations Sub-Committee, and EMRO Promotional Material Sub-Committee.

Five positions are available for each Sub-Committee.

Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office Sponsorship Sub-Committee

This Sub-Committee works under the supervision of EMRO Secretary. It will include five members whose tasks are: Assisting the Secretary in expanding the potential sponsors list, contacting potential sponsors, and acquiring appropriate sponsorship for the Regional Office. Ensuring that sponsors are acknowledged in the manner agreed by liaison with EMRO Internal Coordination and Communication Officer (ICCO), EMRO Secretary, and EMRO Chairperson. Promoting EMRO Sponsorship via EMRO channels and social media.

Members of the committee should: Have solid understanding of all IPSF and EMRO aspects. Have creativity skills. Have efficient organizing skills. Be enthusiastic.

Be dedicated. Be fluent in written, spoken and comprehension of English and Arabic. They must also have past experience with successful fundraising and sponsorship roles.

Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office Regional Relations Sub-Committee

This Sub-Committee works under the supervision of EMRO Regional Relations Officer (RRO). It will include five members whose tasks are: Promoting EMRO Sponsorship via EMRO channels and social media. Assisting the Regional Relations Officer in promoting for IPSF in the region. Discussing with RRO better ways of promoting and extending IPSF membership to nonmembers. Assisting RRO in getting new contacts of interest and media. Discussing with RRO the needs of IPSF EMRO associations and how IPSF EMRO can help them. Discussing the questions of the surveys needed to be done in the year 2011-2012. Promoting for IPSF development fund to members.

Members of the committee should have: At least, one year of experience in any committee of their students' pharmaceutical association with proven activity. For new members of their association, relevant experience in other associations or clubs is required. Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Arabic. Fair knowledge about IPSF and IPSF EMRO. Regular use of internet and e-mails.

Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office Promotional Material Sub-Committee

This Sub-Committee works under the supervision of EMRO Internal Coordination and Communication Officer (ICCO). It will include five members whose tasks are: Creating, designing, and editing promos, and short videos promoting EMRO and its activities with the best quality.

Helping in the design and development process of publication materials such as, flyers, posters, banners, and booklets of EMRO events and projects. Creating designs, and sample layouts based on Theme Principle Concepts of EMRO RWG. Continuously updating EMRO official social networks pages by publishing the movies and pictures, updating statuses and information, and inventing new ways to promot EMRO and its projects.

Members of the committee should: Have good knowledge of programming languages, developing programs and using File Transfer Protocol. Have perfect usage and excellent knowledge of designing programs like, Adobe products specially Adobe Photoshop. Have good knowledge with Adobe products or any other professional software for video editing and motion graphics. Have good experience working in designing field like, working in an association or a designing agency. Have good time management.
