Chapter 1 Introduction Background of On The Job Training

Education is very important for humans. Only through education, people can add to the knowledge, insight and experience to determine the purpose of life so they can have a wide view towards the front for better. Education it self can also be done either from family, neighborhood, and school. But with the education it self can create an atmosphere of turmoil for more advanced because of the learning process in a healthy atmosphere giving rise to competition in improving the knowledge or healthy competition. In a vocational high school curriculum held Dual System. Namely education track and trails outside of school education. For educational trails outside

of school often we know as the On the Job Training. On the Job Training ( OJT ) is the activity of education, training and learning are carried out in the world of business or industry that is relevant to the competence (ability) students

according. to their field to achieve a certain level of professional expertise.

Reason of On the Job Training

Each student vocational school graduates are required to have a job ready skills and vocational school graduates since usually not recognized by the business / industry. Therefore held a Dual System of Education program is to implement the On the Job Training so that each student has an experience of

vocational school graduates in the business world before entering the real business world after graduating school.

Objective of On the Job Training

a. b. Able to adapt to the real world of work. Students can add insight to the way down to study abroad in the world industry by on the job training. c. Produce a quality workforce, namely labor have high levels of knowledge, skills, work ethic according to the demands of jobs. d. e. Strengthen link and match between the vocational and the world of work. Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the process of education and training quality work. f. Give recognition and appreciation for work experience as part of the educational process.

Advantages of On the Job Training

a. Can add to the experience and knowledge in the world of work as a graduate vocational-oriented world of work. b. c. d. e. Increase the mental and insight in doing a job in a responsible. To introduce the students about the real world of work. In order for students to become more creative and always think positive. To make students more independent and willing to try.

The OJT (On The Job Training) was done at TVRI Bengkulu on 1th March to 30st July 2011. TVRI Bengkulu address at Bentiring Raya street,Bengkulu

38126.Telephone : (0736) 21541 and Fax : 637639873278320. There, I worked every Monday to Friday. Monday to Thursday the working hours is started from 9 am and finished at 2 pm, and Friday the working hours is started from 8 am and finished at 2 pm.

Hstory
In order to welcome the implementation of ASIAN GAMES IV in 1961, the government decided to build a television station in Jakarta. Broadcast premiere as a trial broadcast aired on August 17, 1962 a special broadcast coverage of the memorial moments of the Proclamation of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia. Followed later by the opening of the ASIAN GAMES IV aired on August 24, 1962 which was followed regularly broadcasts the name of the Bureau of Radio and Television ASIAN GAMES IV Organizing Committee, it is also the anniversary of the founding of Television Republic Indonesia (TVRI).

Entering the era of Pancasila Democracy in 1974, TVRI has turned into one part of the organization and administration of the Ministry of Information with its status as a responsible Director General Directorate of Radio, Television, and Film. In an era of reform was published in Government Regulation No. 36 of 2000 which establishes the status of a company TVRI Bureau under the Ministry of Finance building. Then through Government Regulation No. 9 of 2002 TVRI changed its status to PT. TVRI (Limited) under the guidance of State Owned Enterprises Minister's Office. Furthermore, through the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 32 Year 2002 on Broadcasting, TVRI designated as Public Broadcasting in the form of legal entity established by the State. In connection with the change of status, TVRI now increasingly challenged to begin independent, especially in producing the show, at least given the state budget for the implementation of broadcast television production.

Activity Of the TVRI Bengkulu

TVRI Bengkulu has a routine activity of course. As per the 17th of the month held a ceremony, held Friday gymnastics together, every evening there are activities of local broadcast starts at 15.00 pm. And every birthday TVRI Bengkulu on the 3rd of August has always held a special family activities such as competitions TVRI, for public events and more.

Activity in The On the Job training

OJT activities in Bengkulu TVRI office very pleasant. Activities performed during the On the Job Training are: 1. Stamp receipt 2. Filing receipt 3. Archive documents 4. Make daily cash flow 5. Typing using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word 6. Received a call 7. Creating a tax deposit reports

Challenge As a student OJT in TVRI Bengkulu, the student had many frequently meeting with many people with different background.

Problem 1. Doing a new job or not yet known. 2. Saturated because there is no work done. 3. The lack of communication between students and employees there.

Solving The solution is a smart student must communicate with employees there and frequently asked.

Result of OJT After doing OJT (On Job Training) I get a lot of things, like can add to the knowledge, experience and friends. I memento of my instructors and the also get money most important for part transport and a of OJT is that

we can train ourselves to work in the real world of work.

Chapter 3 CLOSSING Conclusion By doing OJT (On Job Training), we can can get not a lot of experience

and knowledge, which we

get formal education.

In conclusion, the authors can say that the OJT (On Job Training) is done to match the theory and practice. We also know how it feels that the world of work. There are many advantages and disadvantages of OJT: 1. Benefits I have some knowledge of the real world of work

 I can train ourselves to work in the community I can get a lot of experience I can train our talents 2. Lack of Activities that are less effective, sometimes there is no activity /work Every day we perform similar activities Sometimes there are some differences between theory and practice

Suggestion
- For Lecture Agar lebih memperhatikan siswa dalam melaksanakan on the job training. - For Company Agar lebih member penjelasan kepada siswa tentang mekanisme kerja yang ada pada instansi yang bersangkutan. - For Student Lebih giat dan serius dalam melaksanakan pekerjaan Lebih disiplin dalam waktu.
