These pants are awesome! Great fit, cool color, plenty of pockets, built in Recco. I really like that the velcro waist adjustment tabs are on the outside of the pant and are easily accessed while wearing. Solid build and attention to detail from O.R.

Great Features
The Axcess pants have an awesome integrated transceiver pocket inside the right hip pocket. It has an internal carabiner for clipping the elastic leash on to keep it secured into the pants. If you are a "pocket guy" like I tend to be when wearing a radio harness at work, this is a great solution. In addition to being a great gravity fed or sidecountry pant, those who dig a little roomier touring pant will find that the internal and external vents are super helpful.

Sidecountry dream pants

OR has nailed the side country pant genre with these pants. Just the right amount of insulation on the knees and ass, plenty of ventilation panels, tough fabric, gore-tex, cargo pockets...everything the side country tourer needs for a good day of secret powder stashes.

Warm, Comfortable, Durability issue

I wore these pants every day, anywhere from 0 degrees and storming to 40 degrees with sunshine. They were great as far as warmth and comfort are concerned. Roomy so they don't restrict movement on the uphill or downhill. My issue was with durability. I wore these 100 days and by the end of the season the crotch was blown out and the inside of both legs were slashed. Inside the legs getting slashed is typical for ski plants, but being a 'slackcountry' model I thought they should have been designed to withtand the sidestepping necessary to access sidecountry/slackcountry lines.
