Coogee Resources
PROJECT PROFILE Client: Scope: Coogee Resources Design (conceptual and detailed), and fabrication 12 weeks Mar 2008 - Jun 2008
Coogee Resources engaged AME to design two subsea umbilical riser bases for their Montara field develpment project.
AME worked closely with Independant Offshore Solutions, to ensure the design met their required installation and operation criteria.
The project presented a unique challenge in that the design could only utiilise one specific pre-determined steel member size for all of the primary steelwork, as this was the only member available to the overseas fabricator at the time. By incorporating a combination of permanent and removable external ballast weights, all requirements including those of the fabrication restrictions were met successfully.
AMEs scope of work also included the design and manufacture of the umbilical split clamps and associed riser base interface structures.
