Cabling infrastructures provided with this service enable the transport of data, voice, and video over various copper and fiber optic media - ranging from typical office/cubicle environments to data centers to interconnection of buildings in campus environments. SCS provides a comprehensive approach to ensure a high quality, standards-based cabling infrastructure in adherence with the Telecommunications Wiring Guidelines and TIA/EIA (Telecommunications Industry Association/Electronics Industry Alliance) Telecommunications Building Wiring Standards. Structured Cabling Services consists of a team of BICSI RCDD (Building Industry Consulting Service International Inc., Registered Communications Distribution Designer) professionals dedicated to providing the best solutions and services to fit each customer's unique needs.

How Do We Charge?
Structured Cabling
Depending on the size and scope of your cabling needs, SCS fees can fall into the following categories:

Category A Projects

Utilize fixed unit prices based on type of cables, termination methods, cable media, etc., for projects with typically less than 75 unit cable runs

Category B Projects

Consist of larger inside plant projects, typically over 75 unit cable runs or contain complex cabling solutions for outside plant installations or data centers. After detailed consultations with the customer, these types of projects are individually bid using SCS pre-qualified vendors. Once requirements are documented, securing a custom bid may take as little as 3 weeks, including

a detailed walkthrough by up to 10 pre-qualified vendors. Design/Consulting Services

Consist of an hourly billable rate, available for RFP and scope of work reviews, creating design specifications, performing project management and inspections, providing expertise in outside plant design, wireless, fiber redundancy, etc.

Service Description
IT Service Management (ITSM) is a shared service that provides a cost-effective, reliable, scalable, secure, feature-rich software tool that can be used to manage Incidents, Service Requests, Problems, and Changes in support of customers and lines of business. This service uses BMC Remedy IT Service Management suite of tools, which is compliant with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).

This Incident Management application is designed to manage the entire Incident Management process to assist in restoring service to customers as quickly as possible. Problem Management -- for managing Problem investigations from detection to eradication through the ITIL sub-processes of Problem Control, Error Control, and Pro-Active Problem Analysis. Change Management -- for tracking scheduled and planned infrastructure changes. Service Description
Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) service provides user mobility within an office building to authorized employees and visitors Guest Access to the Internet/Intranet. This is accomplished by wirelessly integrating/extending the Local Area Network. WLAN service is an extension of the customer's Local Area Network that includes IEEE 802.11 compliant wireless access points (APs) and their communication with wireless Network Interface Cards (NICs) in laptops and other devices. Damas MENA provides design, implementation, and remote monitoring and management of a customer's WLAN. WLAN service is designed to serve staff and authorized agency visitors and guests. It is a shared technology and offers no guarantees for consistent bandwidth or performance. During the design phase, we will determine access point locations based on coverage and device counts that will allow for optimum speed and access. WLAN service is designed to support two types of wireless users in compliance with statewide IT security policies and standards:
