As a ballerina of Spanish dance and as soloist of castanet,my strengths are the castanets, it took me time researching on how to move the castanets in a different way. That is, the castanets in motion, and this movement evoques the birds. Argentina, which was an important dancer and the first castanets soloist, was the first who changed the touch of castantets, from the popular thing, the trrrmm, trrmm, pom, pom of the fandango and from the whole Spanish Folklore. And there is another interesting part which is very special for me. Its a tango from Joan Flotats who is from the county of Bages, where I am from. I met this man when I was very young. He was around 80 and he encouraged me a lot to play the piano. He was a pianist from the world of Spanish dance in Barcelona.
