Instrumentation Highlights

PGM, our first undulator beamline operating for users XDS at the SC wiggler will open for users 1st sem. of 2012 Refurbishing/remodeling of the optics of 3 beamlines (SXS, SAXS1, SGM) Several new detection systems installed (Pilatus, multi-channel analyzers, etc..) Several new end-stations for in-situ and high throughput experiments (XMCD, SC magnet, Gleeble, MX robot, etc..) LabWeb: Prototype for remote beamline operation over the web (XRD, SAXS) New control/data acquisition system under evaluation (EPICS) to replace the in-house system which is now obsolete

SGM and TGM

UV and Soft X-Rays Beamlines

SGM:
Remodeled optics with new mirrors in Silicon substrate (ordered) and longer focal distance Improved stability, flux and resolution and better vaccum (additional pump)

TGM:

New mirrors (same optics) ordered with Silicon substrate Improved stability

LNLS Beamlines

PGM (90-1200 eV)

Open for users - first results of photoemission on liquids (only 5 exp. in the world) - nanosciences, nanomagnetism
