Strategy & Planning - Developed and implemented operations strategy for six manu facturing sites with approximately 2000 employees - located in China, Ireland, M exico, Philippines, Singapore and the US; and three contract manufacturing facil ities located in France, Indonesia and South Africa. Conceived, created and impl emented a global manufacturing network where none previously existed, and develo ped the functional structure to support the manufacturing base. Supply Chain and Logistics - Created and implemented a four-year supply chain st rategy, including improvements to supply chain management processes, manufacturi ng, distribution and transportation network - resulting in cost savings of over $15M. Manufacturing and Distribution - Led and built a new manufacturing facility ($18 0M) in Singapore, as a Greenfield site, which started on-time, in-budget and wit h no re-engineering required. Developed and initiated an alternative inventory r eduction program positively impacting forecasts, SKU reduction, customer-service levels, and reducing inventory by $19.8M (23%) for FY07. Cost Reduction/Lean Initiatives - Improved customer service levels to 99% and lo wered cost of goods by establishing a dedicated initiative at each manufacturing site and realigning product sourcing. Increased gross margin by $12M despite in flationary pressure and exchange rate fluctuations by implementing cost reductio n initiatives and cost management programs. Global Sourcing Solutions - Created sourcing strategy, which included timeline, country specific analysis, macroeconomic analysis, operational attractiveness, c ountry specific industry capabilities and geographic dependent factors. This was in preparation for the determination of a Greenfield site or possible JV. Devel oped and implemented a new sourcing strategy for material previously procured fr om the US, China and Brazil by developing a vendor base in Mexico with savings o f $1.5M per year.
