    8th March 2012 (Thursday) is declared as a holiday for Holi. Hence 8th March is declared as "No Instruction day" for the University. 9th March (Friday) will now be an "Instructional Day" for the University. As per the decision taken during the preparatory meeting held on 28th November 2011 for the 24th Academic Council, there will be CAT and Term End Lab exams as usual for Winter 2011-12 semester.

    Sub.: Change in Academic Calendar for Winter 2011-12 Semester Ref.: 1. Govt. of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Circular F.N0.12/.3/2011-SJCA-2 2. VIT/ Dir(Acad)/2011/Calendar/9, dt. 17-11-2011 3. VIT/Dir(Acad)/2011/Exams/25, dt. 17-11-2011 As per the reference (1) cited above, 8th March 2012 (Thursday) is declared as a holiday for Holi. Hence 8th March 2012 (Thursday) is declared as No Instruction day for the University. 9th March 2012 (Friday) will now be an Instructional Day. The Academic Calendar announced as per reference (2) cited above stands modified to this effect. As per the decision taken during the preparatory meeting held on 28th November 2011 for the 24th Academic Council, it was decided to conduct the laboratory exams as per the prevailing practice and hence there will be CAT and Term End Lab exams as usual for Winter 2011-12 semester. The Circular indicated in reference (3) cited above stands modified to that extend.
