Got your message. The acting Inspector General has signed the report. OIG should transmit to TSA this week. OIG typically posts its reports on its website approximately 14 days after the department and congressional requestors receive it.

Sent: Tuesday, November 29, 2011 3:37 PM To: Davich, Sherry (Bill Nelson) Subject: Report Sherry, Have you heard anything on the DHS IG report? I know the TSA has the report and has had it for several months. Could you check to see if it is available to us? I think they are holding it hoping that it might go away if no one asks for it. For your situational awareness. Note Office of Chief Counsel is addressing my inquiry. They are covering themselves. I will be responding to this email either this evening or sometime within the next couple of days. If you have any recommended questions or comments you want me to include in my response, please let me know. Albeit it has been a long and arduous battles on many fronts, we are finally winning the war; a war created by those neanderthals from the USSS. Gob bless the little guys.

Gma - Fwd: DHS/OIG report on FAMS - "A egat ons of M sconduct and I ega D scr m nat on and Ret

Thank you for your interest in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG). This email is in response to your letter dated November 20, 2011 to Mr. William McCarron, Chief Inspector at DHS-OIG (copy of the letter attached for your reference). It appears from your emails to Mr. McCarron that you have specific questions about the Federal Air Marshal Service (FAMS) review conducted by DHS-OIG. Specifically, you have asked the following questions: 1. Will the FAMS be able to modify the review/inspection your office conducted? 2. When is the review/inspection in question going to be finalized? 3. When is the review/inspection in question going to be published for public consumption? 4. If the review/inspection in question is not going to be published for public consumption, does that mean I would have to file a FOIA request to obtain a copy of the report? Please note that DHS-OIG is in the final stages of completing its review of the report pertaining to the FAMS. The report is titled, Allegations of Misconduct and Illegal Discrimination and Retaliation in the Federal Air Marshal Service. We cannot predict exactly when the report will be finalized; however, once our review is completed, OIG will post a copy of the finalized report on its website for public viewing. You may periodically visit the DHS-OIG homepage athttp://www.oig.dhs.gov/ to retrieve a copy of the above stated report. You may also subscribe to receive OIG e-mail alerts about any new OIG publication posted on the web at: http://iglist.oig.dhs.gov/SCRIPTS/WA-DHSOIG.EXE?SUBED1= oigalerts&A=1. Please contact our office if you wish make a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for specific, identifiable government records that can be located in DHS-OIG files. You may direct your FOIA request to the following email address: !"#$%"#&'"#&%()*%&"+% Alternatively, if you wish to submit a complaint to the DHS-OIG regarding any topic under the purview of DHS, you may contact the DHS-OIG Hotline at the following email address: dhsoighotline@dhs.gov. Sincerely,

Aneet Thind
