3. PROJECT PRIORITIES

Time

In this Marathon event sport, time is being consider is constrained and is the most important through the plan event. Comparing with the other project, often the longer a project last, the more expensive it will. Conversely, the Standard Chartered Marathon is different, the longer the project takes, the more losses it become. As mentioned above, the event will held on 12th October 2011; however, the plan may not as successful as expected, and the event day will be held later one week. It will influence to the benefit of the whole project because the participant may reduce following this incident. Moreover, the organization would likely bear all the cost such as compensation for advertises companies that organizer sign the contract with in this event. Cost & Quality

The Standard Chartered Marathon event is the charity program in Singapore, so the cost and quality in this plan project is considered as entrance. It is means taking advantage to reduce cost as much as possible but the quality of the program does not change. Thus, cost is the second important to the Marathon event. To be reducing the expenditure, the organization can recruit volunteer instead of hiring extra coworker. Moreover, organizer could invite donation from sponsor and public to reduce the cost in advertising, snack and drink By this way, organizer can reduce cost as much as possible and get more profit to raise fund for charity.

Scope

This part of project show the performance that organizer perform to prepare for pre and through the event. In this project plan, scope is consider as accept because this is the charity program so it depend on time and cost that organizer bring out. For this reason, time is too short or cost expenditure is too high will lead to reduce the performance in the project scope. This is the performance that was planned to arrange the Marathon event: y y y y y Applying the license and signing sponsors. Estimating the expenditure through the event. Recruiting volunteer and elite runner. Publishing the Marathon event. Testing the overall expenditure and prepare the reward for the winner.

4. WORK BREAKDOWN STRUCTURE

8. Project Risk Management

In some situation, risk may be happen so project risk management will help to prevent the bad situation that can be happened in the event day: y Unable to recruit the sponsor for the event day, this will lead to loss income for the organization. If it happens, the list of assistant sponsor will be implemented instead of. y Unable to attract enough participants, organizer will loss entrance fee. The way to attract more participants is increasing advertising or even reduces the cost of entrance fees. y y Bad weather will become the reason that less participant come to the Marathon event. Advertising cost may higher than the estimation cost, the best way in this situation is to reduce as possible the expenditure through the event such as stop preparing hat for participants

9. Project performance measurement, evaluation & closure

The information contained within this project plan will likely the useful information to be prepared for the pre and on the event day. It includes things what worked on the event, what should be arranged and required and what is the risk thing in during planning and holding the Marathon Singapore. The Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore is held for the purpose of charity on 12th October 2011. Organizer will apply for license on April and open the registration for participant on May, just one month later. However, organizer obviously will try to take the license as soon as to be possible to last the registration day. The participant is predicted in this event about 8000 persons from 16 to 50 years old. As mentioned above, the organizer will host the uniform, hat, the event handbook for each people that participate in the event. When participant register, they will be charged $85/ person

and total money will be raised fund for charity after paying the expenditure during the Marathon event. The entire financial summary was calculated above in the project estimation. If everything happened according to the schedule, there is nothing to take care for event. However, there will be documented a risk analysis such as bad weather or advertising cost exceeds the expected costSo that, risk plan was created and in the case the expenditure is too high, organizer will reduce cost expenditure by reducing delivering hat or event handbook for participant. And in the case not enough people participate in the event, we also find the solution to attract more runners by reducing entrance fee All risk plans was also written down in the project risk management in order to solve the bad situation.
