Getting Started
Logging in for the first-time in one-X Mobile Blackberry http://www.g3-tel.com/uploaded_files/one-x-mobileblackberry/Logging in for the first-time in one-X Mobile Blackberry.swf 1. Note, before logging in to the Avaya one-X Mobile application on a mobile device, set up the account on Avaya one-X Mobile Web. 2. Locate the Avaya one-X mobile icon on the main screen or in the Applications folder and click the trackball to launch the application. 3. Highlight the appropriate protocol for the Avaya one-X Mobile server configuration, and click the trackball. 4. Enter the URL or IP address of the Avaya one-X Mobile server. 5. Highlight OK, and click the trackball.

5. If the icon is yellow or red the mobile device may be experiencing communication errors. 6. The Send Calls To option lists the phones currently designated to ring when a call comes in to the office phone. 7. The New Voicemail option shows the number of new voicemail messages. 8. The Block option shows the current setting of the Block feature. When set to Off, no calls are blocked. 9. Click the trackball to open the Home menu. 10. The menu options available vary depending on the item currently highlighted on the Home screen. 11. Some options always appear on the Home menu, including Call, Call Log, Corporate Directory, Saved Voicemail, RIM Addresses, Settings, and Refresh.

The status icon indicates the communication status between the mobile device and the Avaya one-X Mobile server. 4. Handling Calls

From the Avaya one-X Mobile Home screen, click the trackball. 2. Highlight Call, and click the trackball. 3. Enter the number to be called, and click OK. 4. Highlight the phone to be used to make the call, click the trackball. 5. If the phone selected is not the BlackBerry device, click OK. 6. The office phone system calls the selected device while a connection to the number dialed is made. 7. When the selected phone or the BlackBerry device rings, answer the phone and press the 5 key. 8. Wait a moment while the connection to the called party is made.

Voicemail

On the Avaya one-X Mobile Home screen, highlight New Voicemail, and click the trackball. 2. Highlight Open New Voicemail or Open Saved Voicemail. 3. Click the trackball. 4. Highlight the voicemail and click the trackball to open the menu. 5. To save the voicemail, select Save Voicemail. 6. To delete the voicemail, select Delete Voicemail, and on the confirmation screen click Delete. 7. To listen to the voicemail, select Play. 8. Note, If the BlackBerry device cannot download and play voicemail messages, Play is replaced by View. Dial the office voicemail system directly to listen to the message. 9. To save the voicemail while it is playing, press A. 10. Press Space to pause and resume playback of the voicemail. 11. Press Del to delete the voicemail while it is playing. 12. When finished, click the trackball. 13. Click Close.

5. Click the trackball. 6. Click Select Automatic by Schedule or Select Automatic by Location. 7. When the Send Calls destinations screen appears, a check mark appears next to Automatic by Schedule or Automatic by Location. 8. For Automatic By Schedule, on the Avaya one-X Mobile Home screen, Automatic by Schedule appears as the current Send Calls destination. 9. The current time period and the call destinations selected for the current time period are also shown. 10. For Automatic By Location, the current Send Calls destination appears as Automatic By Location.. 11. The name of the current location and the associated phone numbers are also shown. On the Avaya one-X Mobile Home screen, highlight Send Calls To, and click the trackball.. 2. Click Change Destinations. 3. A list of the phones which can receive office calls appears. Voicemail, Automatic by Schedule, and Automatic by Location (if available) are also listed. 4. Highlight the appropriate phone. 5. Click the trackball to select or deselect the phone. 6. A confirmation pop-up menu appears. Click the trackball to confirm the selection. 7. Repeat the steps to select or deselect another phone. Up to 5 phones may be selected (unless limited by the system administrator) to ring simultaneously when a call comes in to the office number. 8. Note, at least one phone destination must be selected. All calls are sent to the Office destination by default if no destinations are selected.

On the Avaya one-X Mobile Home screen, highlight Send Calls To, and click the trackball. 2. Click Change Destinations. 3. A list of the phones on which office calls can be received appears. Voicemail, Automatic by Schedule, and Automatic by Location (if available) are also listed. 4. Highlight Voicemail and click the trackball. 5. Click Select Voicemail. 6. No other destinations can be selected when all calls are sent to Voicemail. 7. In addition, the voicemail destination overrides the Block setting so that all callers, including VIP callers, are sent to the office voicemail. On the Avaya one-X Mobile Home screen, highlight Send Calls To, and click the trackball. 3. Click Change Destinations. 4. A list of the phones on which office calls can be received appears. 5. Highlight Quick Entry and click the trackball. 6. Click Select Quick Entry to display the Edit Phone Number screen. 7. The last Quick Entry number used appears, if necessary, repeatedly press Del to delete the Quick Entry number. 8. Enter the new Quick Entry number, and click OK.

Call Logs

On the Avaya one-X Mobile Home screen, click the trackball. 2. Highlight Call Log, click the trackball. 3. Highlight the call to be deleted, and click the trackball. 4. Click Delete Call. 5. The call is deleted and the Call Log screen displays. Click Play or Replay, depending on whether the message has already been heard. 5. To save the voicemail while it is playing, press A. 6. Press Space to pause and resume playback of the voicemail. 7. Press Del to delete the voicemail while it is playing. 8. When finished, click the trackball. 9. Click Close to close the Call Log.

On the Avaya one-X Mobile Home screen, click the trackball. 2. Highlight Call Log, and click the trackball. 3. To interact with a Call Log entry, click the trackball. 4. Options to call the selected number, delete the Call Log entry, and add the entry to RIM addresses are displayed. 5. Additionally, options to place another call, view RIM messages, and open new and saved voicemails display from this menu.

5. Enter search criteria in the Last Name and Department fields to use additional criteria in the search. 6. Note, all search criteria fields do not need to be populated. 7. Click the trackball. 8. Click Search. 9. When the search is completed, the Directory search results screen appears. 10. Highlight the contact. 11. To view contact details, click the trackball. 12. Click View followed by the contact's name to display the complete contact record.

Contacts

On the Avaya one-X Mobile Home screen, click the trackball. 2. Highlight RIM Addresses and click the trackball. 3. To find a specific contact, enter the first letter or two of the contacts name in the Find field. 4. Highlight the contact and click the trackball to view contact details.
