Welcome Tonights HG will continue to focus on PRAYER. We are blessed to call God our heavenly Father but we must never forget that He is the awe powerful God of the universe whose saving purpose for us will be accomplished. As such, His name should be hallowed. (i.e. esteemed, exalted, proclaimed) Opening Prayer Share with your group that this weeks focus is on the fact that God is in TOTAL control of everything that happens in the entire universe. Affirm this to your group, then incorporate it in a prayer of thanksgiving before you eat.

Family Time Genesis 1 affirms that God is in control of ALL creation! Read Gods creation of our world in Genesis 1. Depending on the size of your group...divide each day of creation up amongst those in attendance. Have them take a few moments to talk about whats special/unique about the day they are studying. For instance, light (day 1) came into the world BEFORE he created the Sun (day 4). God is the ultimate source of light! Then there is the repetition of the phrase according to its kind which speaks against Darwinian evolution (that we are all ancestors of the same living species). Another example would be that after the sixth day, the day he created man, he pronounced his work very good. Kids Time With pen and paper in hand, have each child make a list of words that they would use to describe God, then have them share their list. Parents may need to help the younger kiddos. Identify one or two of the words from each list and have the kids share why they thought that word was a significant description of God. Break into groups and help the kids memorize this weeks Core Competency, Trinity: I believer the God of the Bible is the only true GodFather, Son and Holy Spirit. Bring the groups together and have the kids recite it (allowing the older kids to help the younger ones if needed). Make sure and celebrate each childs success!

Adult Time Jesus begins his model prayer by saying, Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Jesus hearers would connected it to Ezekiel 36:22. Read Ezekiel 36:22-28 out loud. Who is God talking to? (A. Israel) What future event is this referring to? (A. the establishment of Gods Kingdom). When are the events supposed to take place (A. Jesus second coming). Look again at vv. 25-27. How do these passages relate to what God did for those of us who became believers? (A. Through the Holy Spirit, God gives us a new heart so that we can believe in his son and be forgiven/cleansed of all our sin). So how does God intend to hallow his name (note: the next verse in Jesus model prayer: thy kingdom come, thy will be done; (A. by saving people from every nation and tribe to know, love, serve and worship him in his eternal kingdom). Prayer Time Take a few moments to lift up Pastor Daniels in prayer for spiritual protection as he prepares the upcoming messages in the PROTOTYPE series. Take a few moments to pray for a country (or several) that is still virtually unreached by the gospel. Ask our heavenly Father to spread his kingdom purposes by equipping believers to spread the gospel of Jesus to in this area/country.
