PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Client: A leading bank in UK 1) Galaxy R5.2: This project deals with managing the history of credit card reference data in data warehouse. The reference data is extracted from various oracle views and loaded to the teradata staging table by datastage jobs after applying necessary transformations. After this the teradata jobs picks the data from staging tables & load it to the target tables in data warehouse. Responsibilities: Involved in development & unit testing of jobs.

2) Charter Integration: Complaints data are fed into the SQL server tables by the front end application. The ETL job extracts data from these source tables and load it to the teradata staging tables after applying the necessary transformations as per the business requirement. These staging tables are then processed by the teradata jobs which finally loads (insert/ update / logical delete) the data to target tables in data warehouse. Responsibilities: Involved in design, development & unit testing of jobs. Support system testing & user acceptance testing. Implementation & warranty support activities.

Environment: Datastage 8.1, SQL server, Teradata. 3) Galaxy OMM: The objective of this project is to help the internet banking customers more effectively manage their finances. Customers receive their credit & debit transactions details in a categorized transactions view. It also stores the data captured by customers which may have value from an analytical and marketing perspective. The ETL job extracts the data from teradata tables and load it to oracle staging tables. It also captures the data from oracle views and load to teradata staging tables from where it is picked up by teradata jobs to load it to the final tables in data warehouse.
