ADMISSION NOTIFICATION No. 1 (Session 2012) On-line Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for admission to the below mentioned programmes/ courses for the academic session 2012.The candidates are advised to peruse the Prospectus-2012 thoroughly and check eligibility/other details before submitting their application forms.

Post-graduate Diploma in: Modern Spoken Arabic, Hindi, Persian, Translation (Persian), Sanskrit, Urdu Mass Media (Faculty of Arts); Computer Applications (Faculty of Applied Science & Technology); Remote Sensing & GIS (Faculty of Physical & Material Science). Diploma in: French (Part-time), German (Part-time), Kashmiri (Faculty of Arts); Instrument Technology (Faculty of Applied Science & Technology). Certificate Course in: German (Part-time), French (Part-time), Russian (Part-time), Spoken Hindi (Part-time), Modern Spoken Persian, Sanskrit (Part-time), Modern Spoken Arabic (Faculty of Arts); Quranic Studies (Faculty of Social Science).

II) Important dates:

Issuance of Prospectus/Submission of On-line Forms Last date of submission of On-line Application Forms From February 15, 2012 February 24, 2012

III) Availability of Prospectus:

The Prospectus 2012, bearing a distinct Serial Number on front inner cover, shall be available, against a cash payment of Rs. 250/- at the following Sale Counters/IT Centres of the University of Kashmir:Main Campus, University of Kashmir North Campus, Delina, Baramulla South Campus, Fategarh, Anantnag Sub Office, 7A/IC East Extension, Trikota Nagar, Jammu Amar Singh College, Srinagar Govt. College for Women, M A Road, Srinagar Sri Partap College, Srinagar Govt. College for Women,Nawakadal, Srinagar Islamia College of Science & Commerce, Sgr. Gandhi Memorial College, Srinagar Govt. Degree College, Bemina, Srinagar Govt. Degree College (Boys), Anantnag Govt. Degree College (Women), Anantnag Govt. Degree College (Boys), Baramulla Govt. Degree College (Women), Baramulla Govt. Degree College (Boys), Sopore Govt. Degree College (Women), Sopore Govt. Degree College, Budgam Govt. Degree College, Pulwama Govt. Degree College, Kulgam Govt. Degree College, Shopian Govt. IV) Submission of On-Line Application Forms:

The candidates are advised to follow the following steps for filling their On-Line Application Forms.

Step-1: Visit http://www.kashmiruniversity.net and click on Link Admissions 2012 and then on On-Line Application Form
Step-2: Enter Prospectus Serial No., Receipt No. & Registration No. and Click Search (if already registered with University of Kashmir your particular/exams. passed will appear from database). Otherwise enter all details yourself.

Step-3: Select the desired Programmes and Campus/College Preferences and Upload your latest passport size photograph with specimen signature at the bottom of the photograph. Step-4: Preview the Form displayed on the screen. If details are correct, click on submit. If there is any variation go to Edit, make corrections and then Submit. Get a printout of the Form and note the ID for future reference. Step-5: Deposit the Entrance Test Fee of Rs. 245 per course (plus Rs. 10/- Bank charges) against the Pay-in-Slip generated with the Application Form in any of the branches of the J&K Bank Ltd. across the Country.

V) Submission of downloaded Application Forms (Hard copy):

The candidates after submitting their On-Line Application Forms must submit the downloaded Form (hard copy) with the following documents at any of the places mentioned in the Prospectus-2012, at Page No. 136 including Govt. Degree College for Women, Baramulla and obtain a receipt for record. i) Marks Certificate of the examinations passed ii) State Subject Certificate iii) Original Copy of the receipt obtained against purchase of Prospectus iv) Reserved Category Certificate (if claiming admission under Reserved Category) v) NOC from the employer, in case employed in Government or any other Department/ Institution The candidates applying under Reserved Category can submit their downloaded Application Forms only at any of the following places: Postgraduate Departments/Institutes of the University in the Main Campus; South Campus, Anantnag; and North Campus, Baramulla.

VI) Additional information:

The candidates must check the status of their application after three days. In case, acceptance of Form is not uploaded, the candidate should contact the concerned J&K Bank, Branch and Dean Academic Affairs office immediately. The notification regarding admission against Self-financing seats shall be issued separately. The admission notification for MBA, MFC, IMBA, B.Tech, BA-LLB, LLM, M.Pharm and B.Pharm shall be issued separately.
