History RapidKL, short for Rangkaian Pengangkutan Integrasi Deras Sdn Bhd, is a governmentowned company which was formed in 2004 as part of the restructuring of the public transport system in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia's capital. RapidKL is the operator of Kuala Lumpur's two light rail transit (LRT) lines, the largest stage bus(regular or trunk bus route) and feeder bus service in Kuala Lumpur, and, as of November 2007, the single line of the KL Monorail and parts of the KLIA Transit route. All assets of the rail and bus services are owned by another government-owned company, Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad (SPNB), which was also formed under the restructuring process. Rapid Penang, which was set up as a subsidiary of RapidKL, began running bus services in Penangon 31 July 2007 as part of the Malaysian Federal government's move to revamp bus services in Penang. History Public transport restructuring The need for Kuala Lumpur's public transport system to be revamped became apparent almost immediately after the LRT lines began commercial operations when their ridership was much lower than anticipated. This caused lower than expected revenue levels and the two LRT concessionaires,Sistem Transit Aliran Ringan Sdn Bhd (Star-LRT) and Projek Usahasama Transit Ringan Automatik Sdn Bhd (Putra-LRT), could not repay their commercial loans. The financial crisis of 1997/1998 aggravated the situation. The two companies owed a total of RM5.7bil as at November 2001 when the government's Corporate Debt Restructuring Committee (CDRC) restructured the debts of the two LRT companies.

Executive Summary We the representatives of the employees from Rangkaian Pengangkutan Integrasi Deras Sdn Bhd would like to propose a project of improving customers satisfaction. In this project, we would like to propose an additional number of seats in a bus. The first facility is proposed because most of the bus users seem to have seating problems due to lack of number of seats in a bus. Besides that, we also want to change the fees system where we will use special pass for passengers who are using our services frequently. The objective of this project is to avoid accidents possibilities that may occur when most of the passengers are standing. We also want our loyal customers to enjoy lower transportation fees with us. Other than that, we also want to ensure that our passengers are in comfortable condition when using our transportation service. The significant of this project is to ensure our passengers safety when using our transportation services. We also want passengers to be always satisfied when using services that we have provided. The preparation to this proposal is by selecting a team from selected Head Unit. After the selection then call for a meeting, determine the source of fund and the budget to run the project. The total amount for this project is estimated about RM 500,000. The modification period for this project is going to be done periodically because we dont want to disrupt our on-going transportation service. Significance of the project To ensure our passengers safety We always want to serve our customers as best as we can. Therefore, we are thinking to improve our services by increasing the number of seats in our busses. We received some complaints from passengers who are using our transport that it is quite dangerous for passengers to standing when the bus is moving.
