2nd: Additional documents: In addition to the requirements specified by checklist, these are the additional documents to be submitted. (It is always good to submit complete documentation at the initial stage, so that they dont come back and the visa process goes at its fastest pace) Marriage certificate Marriage Invitation card 2 one page personal essays handwritten and signed by you and your spouse on how you met and when you got married and how much you love each other. 10-15 photos -5 from engagement, 5 from marriage (Homa and important events), 5 from honeymoon. Make sure at the back of each photo, you have to write the details of when the photo was taken, place and the persons who are in the photo. Emails/Chat history/SMS you have exchanged prior to marriage. 3rd: Sponsor documents of for visa (Page 4 of checklist): Make sure that the sponsor(the spouse who is already having PR visa) have the following documents. The idea is to show that you have sufficient income to take care of your spouse once he/she enters Australia. 1) Pay slip 2) Bank statement 3) Notice of Assessment that you get from ATO after tax file return. 3) Any statements that show that you have sufficient money to support her when she arrive there. 4) Form 888-2 numbers of Form888 from any 2 of your friends who have PR .Ask 2 of your friends who have PR to fill form 888 and get them witnessed from either a pharmacist or doctor or teacher. They can scan that and send it to you. 4th: Approach the VFS office: With documents as specified in 1,2 and 3rd steps above, keep them in a well-organized way and approach the VFS office. Go to your nearest VFS office which can be found here: http://www.vfs-au-in.com/Contact.aspx After you Lodge: Once you lodge your application, it may take 5-6 months for the case officer to be booked. You can call the VFS office for checking the status, but I personally advice not to pester them too much .Have patience. After 3-4 months (which may differ), your spouse will get intimation by email from the
case officer who may request any additional documents (I dont think so because you have already given all the documents necessary). However he/she may call your wife and interview about your marriage. Do not change any passport details of your spouse or hand it over to anyone for any reasons till she/he gets her/his visa. All the best!
