Autumn People Character Generation

Beginning to quote Cloak (cloak@guild.bc.ca) It came to my attention one day while browsing Autumn People that the supplement was lacking on several points concerning character creation and development. Not only was the source lacking, but the answers were not in the Errata either. Thus I contacted Deird're Brooks and Ian Lemke to fill in these blanks. Some of their suggestions differ, so I will include both ideas, Deird're's being the first set to appear followed by Ian's. I thank them both for their help and time with this. What is my starting Banality? As with regular fae this depends on the characters seeming: Banality Childing: 6 Wilder: 8 Grump: 10 What is my starting Glamour / Willpower? Again, this depends on seeming: Glamour / Wilpower Childing: 4 / 2 Wilder: 3 / 3 Grump: 2 / 6 Alternatively, starting Glamour and Willpower could be assigned as regular. How many Stigmas do I begin with? How can I gain more? Every dauntain begins play with one Stigma, never more. This should be a Stigma that makes sense for the dauntain, although as a guidline it usually relates to stealing Glamour or giving Banality. Stigmas are only gained at the Storyteller's descresion, and they also give a Permament point of Banality. What is the cost for raising an Agenda or buying a new one? Agendas cost the same as Arts. How many combined Arts and Agendas does a dauntain start with? 3 or 6? A dauntain has 3 Arts and 3 Agendas, for a combined total of 6. But these dots are not interchangeable. Doesn't this overbalance the dauntain? In the words of Ian Lemke: Dauntain are VERY scary people. This is why changelings fear them so much! Remember, Dauntain were changelings before they became Dauntain. Some Dauntain cannot evenuse their Arts anymore, or they may be more difficult to use. Do Dauntain retain Birthrights and Frailties? Yes.
