ALERT
I have been informed by teaching staffs unions that it is highly likely that unions will hold a day of industrial action on Wednesday 28th March. Although I am unable to confirm whether school will be closed I wanted to give parents prior notice that this is a possible school closure date. I will confirm as soon as I can. Jayne Kennedy

SPOTLIGHT
Maths Coffee Morning Our KS1 Assistant Head, Mrs Susanne Budgett, will be holding a Maths coffee morning on Friday morning for parents of Year 1 and Year 2 children to attend. The coffee morning will start at 9:05 and will explain how children are allocated into different sets and how we teach maths to your child. You are very welcome to come along to find out more.

Assessment Week
Next week is Assessment week at Barlow Hall for KS1 and KS2 so please could you help your child to do their best by getting them to bed early and ensuring they eat their breakfast so they arent distracted during their tests. This is also a good opportunity to get in some reading, spelling and times tables practice with your child and to help them to stay relaxed.

Help required
If anyone has any good condition Small World resources that they no longer need please could they let Mrs Budgett or any of the KS1 staff know. This can include dolls houses, garages, play airports etc. Donations will be gratefully received. Unattended Children We still have a small number of children being dropped off early at school and left outside the front of the building. Please can we remind you that children should not be left outside school on their own and if they arrive before the school gate opens at 8:45 they will need to go to breakfast club as the area outside school is not supervised before this as is open for traffic to access school and the Sure Start Centre. Any children found to be outside school without a parent will be sent to breakfast club
