GoodCompany is a nonprofit defined by the needs of social entrepreneurs, offering resources to remove barriers to social innovation at all stages of development. Our flagship program, GoodCompanys VenturePrep, is the countrys most intensive and most successful accelerator for social entrepreneurs. GCVP is designed to arm social entrepreneurs with the strategies and resources of the venture community, so that their innovations achieve maximum impact. Talent. GCV attracts leading social entrepreneurs to Philadelphia each summer for a 12-week boot camp. We must be doing something right to attract talent not only from start-up hubs in Boston, New York and San Francisco, but also the UK, India and China. Recognition. Our graduates win national awards in technology (DEMO), social enterprise (Skoll, Thiel) and academic (MIT, Wharton) competitions and have been named the top social entrepreneurs nationwide in the US, UK and India. Funding. We dont charge entrepreneurs or take equity in their companies. Our goal is for you to prove to skeptical investors that unmet social needs provide the foundation of new market opportunities. To date, our 30 graduates have raised more than $30 million in private capital to fuel social innovation.

Makeshift is a quarterly print and online magazine about creativity in unlikely places, from the favelas of Rio to the alleys of Delhi.
