Identification I want to tell you about my dog, his name is Chocho. Description He is a Chihuahua breed. He is five months old. He is small and thin. He wears a red collar on his neck and a green hat on his head. He has brown hair with white markings.
Identification This part identifies a particular thing to be described and usually answer the following questions: What is the topic of the text? What is the text about?
Description This part describes the parts and characteristics. In the text above, it describes: The part of the body hair, markings Thing collar, hat The characteristics color (green, red)
Ex: collar, hair markings, hat, dog Adjectives : describe the characteristic
Ex: white, brown, small, thin Noun phrases : combination of adjectives and noun
Ex: small body, brown hair, white markings, green hat Verbs : usually used is HAVE (have, has) and TO BE (is, am, are)
