WHAT IS MYSAP ERP?

mySAP ERP is a mySAP software solution (similar to mySAP SCM, mySAP CRM, etc.) within the mySAP Business Suite.

mySAP ERP includes function available in SAP R/3 Enterprise and additional functionalities and entire functional areas: Analytics, Strategic Enterprise Management (SEM), Financial Supply Chain Management, Manager Self Services (MSS), SAP Learning Solution, SAP E-Recruiting, Employee Self Services (ESS), Self-Service Procurement and Internet Sales R/3 Edition. mySAP ERP also contains the complete SAP NetWeaver platform; SAP R/3 Enterprise includes a subset of SAP NetWeaver, the SAP Web Application Server.

H OW DOES AN EXISTING CUSTOMER LICENSE MYSAP ERP?


The existing, complete, SAP R/3 contract is converted to a mySAP ERP contract in the same way that it can be converted to a mySAP Business Suite contract. A customer with a mySAP Business Suite contract (formerly called mySAP.com contract) does not need an additional mySAP ERP license.

WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED TRANSITION PATH FOR AN EXISTING CUSTOMER?


For a modern ERP environment, it is highly recommended that the customer convert the existing license to mySAP ERP to benefit from the additional capabilities. For the technical component SAP R/3, the recommended upgrade path is to SAP R/3 Enterprise.

GENERAL QUESTIONS CAN A CUSTOMER TRANSITION FROM MYSAP ERP TO MYSAP BUSINESS SUITE?
Yes, a customer can transition directly to mySAP Business Suite through a license conversion. Alternatively, the customer can add individual mySAP solutions like mySAP SCM.

No, mySAP Business Suite is the new name for mySAP.com.

mySAP ERP is an enterprise resource planning solution for medium to large companies. mySAP ERP focuses on the optimization of internal business processes. mySAP All-in-One is targeted at small companies. mySAP All-In-One is a preconfigured mySAP Business Suite that runs on one database and makes a pre-configured system with various scenarios. All-in-One incorporates, for example, additional functionality in the areas of CRM and SCM. SAP Business One is a PC product for very small subsidiaries or companies needing rudimentary finance and logistic functions.

PRICING/LICENSING H OW DOES THE PRICING WORK?


mySAP ERP is available as a separately priced package from SAP.

Yes. As with other mySAP solutions, there will be functionality that is made available on volume-based pricing. Examples: The payroll software engine pricing is based on the number of employees.

Yes, SAP NetWeaver is included within the mySAP ERP license, provided that the SAP NetWeaver components are used in the framework of mySAP ERP.

CONTINUE TO SELL

SAP R/3?

In the future, mySAP Business Suite, mySAP ERP, and the individual mySAP solutions will be the focus of all SAP positioning and sales activity. However, existing SAP R/3 customers who wish to continue extending their installations of SAP R/3 may continue acquiring users for SAP R/3. New customers will be unable to purchase SAP R/3 or SAP R/3 Enterprise.

TRANSITION O PTIONS FOR EXISTING CUSTOMERS WHAT ARE THE GENERAL TRANSITION OPTIONS FOR AN EXISTING CUSTOMER?
Independent of their contract type, all customers on SAP R/3 4.6B or below are recommended to upgrade to SAP R/3 Enterprise as soon as possible to remain in standard maintenance after Dec 31, 2003. All customers with an SAP R/3 contract are recommended to convert their license to mySAP ERP, or mySAP Business Suite, to benefit from additional value-add capabilities both on the application as well as the technology side.

MUST ALL SAP R/3 OR SAP R/3 ENTERPRISE CUSTOMERS CONVERT TO MYSAP ERP?
No, SAP R/3 customers are not required to migrate to a mySAP ERP license if they do not want to do so. SAP R/3 customers can continue using SAP R/3 on its own. All releases of SAP R/3, including SAP R/3 4.6C and SAP R/3 Enterprise, are available to existing customers under the maintenance agreement.

USERS WITHIN ONE CONTRACT ?

No, as with mySAP Business Suite, these users cannot be combined within one contract. If an existing SAP R/3 customer plans to license mySAP ERP, the SAP R/3 contract will be converted to a mySAP ERP contract. There will be a comparable conversion credit policy along the same lines as a conversion to mySAP Business Suite.
