DEPARTMENT OBJECTIVES

VISION:
The vision of the department is to become a national and internationally leading institution of higher learning, building upon the culture and the values of universal science and contemporary education and a center of research and education generating the knowledge and the technologies which lay the groundwork in shaping the future in the fields of electronics and communication engineering. MISSION: The mission is "to provide educational and practical experience that prepares individuals for graduate studies and to practice engineering in a competitive environment. The program provides a curriculum with fundamental and advanced topics in Electronics Engineering, mathematics, science and humanities with the development of analytical, experimental and computational skills. The curriculum provides graduates with the skills and competencies necessary to understand todays technology trends and become leaders in designing tomorrows technologies." KCARDS: (Kathir Center for Advanced Research and Development Studies) Our college have inaugurated the KCARDS to conduct research,development and training activities to our students. The center initially focuses to train the students on technologies relevant to research and product development such as Embedded System, VLSI based System Design, PCB design and EDES service. The KCARDS center has separate lab facility flooded with necessary hardware and software tools for in-house training and the same can be extended to outsiders under charge basis. The KCARDS will develop prototypes on specific products with full design documents and will motivate the interested students to do the same which will facilitate them to learn and implement hardware/software for product development.

ADD-ON COURSES: Our college is helping in all aspects to educate the students technically and recent developments. In our ECE department various courses like PCB designing, CCNA, Embedded System are conducted to the students continuously during academic classes, during these courses students can directly access the hardware components and easily learn about the current trends. IN-PLANT TRAINING: In our department, students are allowed to attend the in-plant training to various companies, so the students can improve their technological skills which is more important for their placement. INDUSRIAL VISIT: In our department, the students have been taken to industrial visits to various technological companies. ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES: In our ECE department we have successfully conducted 3 seminars, 1 workshop, guest lectures and national level technical symposium combined with all departments. In the upcoming months we have planned to conduct more seminars, workshops and conferences for the innovation of the students. FDP: In our department, staff members have also been attended various FDP programs, seminars and conference to improve their personality development. HIGHER STUDIES: In our department, staff members are allowed to pursue their higher studies like Ph.D, M.E. All facilities for higher studies are provided by our management. RESULTS: In our department, all the students are well trained in both academically and technically to educate themselves. The average result percentage of our department is approximately 80%. The weak students are given adequate special coaching classes to improve themselves. PLACEMENT: The main aim of our department is to place all the students in various companies. In this academic year more than 90% of our final year students have been placed in various companies like Payoda technologies, Hexaware Technologies etc..
