Program provides a unique opportunity to discover

Australia. We provide participants with vocational
placements that lead to professional and personal

The internship is a vocational
placement* as part of the
Workplace Effectiveness program
Flexible program duration: the normal
length for an internship is 12 weeks,
but this can be tailored to meet
individual training needs
(minimum 8 weeks)

Navitas Professional
Internships in Australia
Program participants spend time immersed
in a host organisation alongside Australian
professionals. The program length can be
tailored to individual needs, however the
recommended duration is 12 weeks for an
effective workplace experience so
participants get the most out of their
vocational placement.
Navitas Workforce Solutions and your host
organisation will create a training plan and
allocate a mentor so you, the participant,
will get the most out of your internship and
Australian experience. Take the opportunity
to gain international experience and ll the
gap between university and your career.

Your vocational placement is a key


component of the Certicate in Workplace
Effectiveness. During the program it is
important that participants develop an
understanding of the skills needed by
professionals in the Australian workplace.
As part of the Navitas Professional
Internship Training Program all participants
are required to complete an online learning
component that complements their
vocational placement and training plan.
This will assist in building workplace
effectiveness skills and enhance the career
development experience.

The program is based on the Australian Qualication
Training Framework module BSBWOR301A.

Your Australian experience
Australia is one of the worlds top internship destinations.
It is a dynamic and vibrant country with friendly, confident
people. Living in a multicultural nation with over 20 million
people, youll be able to travel and gain practical
experience in a supportive and professional environment.
Your Australian experience can take you to
vibrant and cosmopolitan cities, tropical
rainforests, barren deserts, and some of
the most beautiful beaches on earth.
Adelaide
With a population of 1.2 million people,
Adelaide is Australias most affordable
state capital. Known as the food and wine
capital, it has more restaurants per head of
population than any other major Australian
city. The climate varies from 18C in winter
to 35C in summer. You can enjoy the
surrounding wine growing areas of the
Barossa Valley and Clare Valley, long sandy
beaches on the peninsula, the dramatic
Flinders Ranges and wildlife on Kangaroo
Island. There are many cultural and historic
attractions in Adelaide, including the
Adelaide Botanic Garden, Adelaide Zoo and
the South Australian Museum.
Brisbane
With a population of 2 million, Brisbane is
the state capital of Queensland. The climate
is warm all year round, with summer highs of
36C. In Brisbane itself, you can explore the
City Botanic Gardens, Lone Pine Koala
Sanctuary and Southbank Parklands. One
hours drive south is the Gold Coast and one
hours drive north is the Sunshine Coast,
both renowned for their long sandy beaches.
Australia Zoo, Movieworld, Dreamworld
and Seaworld are all nearby.
Melbourne
Melbourne, in the south-east of Australia,
has a population of 3.2 million people and
is a cosmopolitan and multi-cultural city.
Average daily temperatures range from
14C in winter to 35C in summer. Local
attractions include the Melbourne Cricket
Ground, St Kilda beach, art galleries,
theatres and museums. Theres plenty to
see in the surrounding areas of Victoria
including the Great Ocean Road, snowelds
in the high country, vineyards in the Yarra
Valley, and the history of the Goldelds
region. Dont miss the fairy penguins on
Phillip Island!
Perth
The capital of Western Australia, Perth, has
wonderful beaches where you can watch
the sun set over the ocean and many parks
along the Swan River. The historic harbour
town of Freemantle and the vineyards of
the Margaret River region are nearby. The
weather is always pleasant, with average
daily temperatures ranging from 20C to
36C year-round.
Sydney
With a population of 4.5 million, Sydney is
Australias largest city and a popular
destination for travellers from all over the
world. There is so much to see and do in
the city: you can explore Sydney Harbour
by ferry, the Opera House, Taronga Zoo,
Bondi Beach and the historic Rocks area.
Nearby youll nd the Blue Mountains,
Southern Highlands, Hunter Valley wine
region and endless beaches along the
Sapphire Coast.

Who is eligible to enrol in
the Navitas Professional
Internship Program?
To enrol, participants must have:
Recently completed or currently be
completing a relevant university degree
related to the internship eld
Upper-intermediate English skills
of General IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
(TOEFL: IBT 69-70/CBT 196/PBT 525)
unless you are a native English speaker

What visa is required to
undertake the Navitas
Professional Internship
Program in Australia?
Participants are required to have a suitable
visa to undertake an internship program in
Australia. Please contact us for more
information and to discuss your individual
situation. For more information about visas
please visit immi.gov.au.
When can I start my internship?
The Navitas Professional Internship
Program requires candidates to submit their
application three months before intended
commencement. This enables us to assess
your eligibility for the program, conrm a
suitable placement and develop a training
plan with the host organisation.
Are internships paid or unpaid?
Your internship is a vocational placement,
and generally in Australia these are unpaid.
The primary goal of a vocational placement
is to gain practical experience in your chosen
profession as part of a training program.
Will there be a list of host
companies to choose from?
Navitas Professional Internship Coordinators
will process your application and liaise with
you to match the best host company to your
prole. Navitas will select a host company
and you will be offered an interview for a
placement with that company. The
Internship Opportunities section of our
website lists a selection of internships
currently available.
How do I apply for the
