Projects

"I Said Theatre!" Principal and Co-Founder 2003-2005 (two years) "I Said Theatre!" was a small theatre company founded in 2003 by myself and 4 others. The company of 5 completely produced two plays (one self-written) in the span of two years, doing everything from stage building to advertising to the actual acting and directing. Both productions were overwhelming success stories, with the company actually making a profit President and Founder at Homoto Motorcycle Club July 2009 to December 2011 President January 2012 present Webmaster/IT Homoto is a sportbike focused motorcycle club based in the San Francisco Bay Area. With two chapters, the club has grown in less than three years to nearly 100 dues paying members. In 2010 the club won "Best New Organization" at the Bay Area Leather Alliance's Community Awards Banquet and has been asked by several community organizations to lead events. The focus of the club is on safety and camaraderie and holds seven monthly rides, periodic seminars and has a program for mentoring new riders. Each year the club has several overnight trips lasting for 2-12 nights in various locations around the country. It also organized, promoted and executed a yearly gathering of motorcyclists in Oakhurst, California this year attended by nearly 100. Homoto has also developed and executed several fundraising campaigns for organizations in the area, raising needed money for San Francisco City College, The San Francisco AIDS Foundation, among others. Seeing a need, I was the initial founder of the club and served as President until December 2011. It was at this time that the current board proposed, voted and passed a resolution amending the bylaws to make me a permanent board member of the club.

Wrangler of 1s and 0s Addiction Motors I have known Jay since 2003. Over the years we have been involved in a couple of projects where his dedication and energy have always seemed to exceed normal human levels. Whether creating a non-profit organization for the benefit of others, or donating his time and expertise to raise money or awareness for cause after cause, Jay gets things done - as a leader and as a visionary. I've watched him make things he dreams come true. His passion, compassion and dedication are a natural part of everything he does. His passion motivates people. His commitment ensures success. It has always been inspiring and rewarding to be a part of any project that he has conceptualized, managed and implemented. It's a pleasure knowing and working with him, and I have no hesitation in recommending Jay. November 1, 2011 Keith Foote, Manager, Business Operations, LexisNexis Jay is task management oriented and a master of the multi-task agenda. He is detailed and precise and willing to go far beyond the extra mile when needed without being asked.October 20, 2011 - Galen Gunther, Owner/Manager, Addiction Motors, LLC worked directly with Jay at Addiction Motors Application Engineer Wells Fargo Online Customer Service I've worked with Jay both directly and indirectly for the last eight years. We worked together on several PeopleSoft projects before he moved on to a new challenge within the bank. He is a dedicated problem solver and has a unique ability to span and merge business and technical requirements. He is extremely organized and energetic. Basically any challenge given him, whether technically familiar to him or not, is taken on and resolved with ease. Jay would be an asset to any technical team because of his breadth of knowledge and ability to analyze and figure out just about anything. He would also make an incredible project manager or business analyst because of the same tenacious qualities. I have seen him start several ventures in varied fields, such as theatre, starting a motorcycle club, and starting a motorcycle maintenance business. All have been a success. November 10, 2011 - Shannon Daily, Systems Engineer, Wells Fargo worked directly with Jay at Wells Fargo I have employed Jay Larson in developing data management programs which I have used in my academic research. Jay is excellent at understanding what it is that I want to achieve as well as the research methodology that I will employ and how his programming impacts my final product. I will use Jay again because his leadership skills with a trans-hemispheric team are phenomenal and project management consistently meets my needs on time or ahead of schedule. Alan Robert Young MA MDiv October 26, 2011 - Alan Robert Young, Student, University of Winchester I have known Jay for many years through our shared love of motorcycling. Jay's commitment, diligence and sincerity have always stood out, making him an obvious leader among even the largest groups. In the band of brothers ethos of sport motorcycling, Jay truly embodies the whole-is-greater-than-the-sum-of-parts spirit and thinking that is the best part of team building and leadership. October 24, 2011 - Louis Willsea, Market Consumer Insights Manager, Brown Forman Corporation was with another company when working with Jay at Wells Fargo Jay is a consummate professional that can be counted on for his attention to detail and ability to deliver quality results. From the day I started at Wells Fargo until the day I left, my colleagues and I, both senior and junior, agreed that Jay was among that rare breed known as "the best and the brightest", with the equally rare quality of being able to lead or follow with complete competence. May 19, 2006 - Peter Childress, Enterprise Analyst, Wells Fargo & Co. managed Jay indirectly at Wells Fargo Enough cannot be said about how great Jay is to work with. He has an unmatched enthusiasm for learning and sharing knowledge and is able to explain very complex concepts in terms that his co-workers and customers can understand. He is exceedingly mindful of timelines and budgets and is just genuinely nice. I would recommend Jay to any employer seeking a top-notch developer, liaison, or analyst. August 25, 2005 - Rebecca Coseboom, Business Systems Consultant, Wells Fargo worked directly with Jay at Wells Fargo President Homoto Motorcycle Club Jay is a good friend and has done an incredible job creating and organizing Homoto. Jay started this club from his living room and has turned it into one of the largest motorcycle clubs in the Bay area. His abilities to organize, lead, plan and execute have kept this group growing and going strong. He is a professional at whatever he does and an assets to everyone around him. November 14, 2011 - Steven Satz, Senior Systems Analyst, Pacific Biosciences Ive known Jay since 2007. Most of my interaction with him has been in a social setting as we are both motorcycle enthusiasts. As a member, and then board member of the club that he started and has grown, I observed the passion that he brings to all that he does. He created the foundation for an organization that has stated goals, values, a documented constitution and sustainable structure that can live on beyond his leadership. Ive also volunteered at fundraising events at which he took a lead role and Ive always been very impressed by his ability to plan and execute a group volunteer event without a hitch. Hes bright, organized, a natural leader and a great person to be around. November 10, 2011 Michael Padgett, Director of Operations, Janet Moyer Landscaping worked directly with Jay at Homoto Motorcycle Club Volunteer San Francisco AIDS Foundation Jay has been a key volunteer at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation for many years. He volunteered as part of the Wells Team, then began taking on more responsibility. When my program needed someone with outstanding organizational and personal skills to head up a motorcycle safety team for our endurance events, Jay was the volunteer we turned to. He recruited most of the members of his team, worked with us to form a safety plan and deployed his team efficiently. He set an example for the other volunteers not only of dedication to the safety of our participants, but of enhancing their experience with care and humor. I always look forward to working with him. October 23, 2011 - Cal Callahan, Participant Relations Manager, San Francisco AIDS Foundation managed Jay at San Francisco AIDS Foundation Web Developer Wells Fargo Customer Information Group I first met Jay when he was working at an entry level job at Wells Fargo, and I immediately recognized his enormous potential. Over the years we worked together, he rapidly advanced himself through sheer talent and diligence at every position he occupied, bearing out my initial instinct and admiration for him. Jay is a person of rare talent, personality, and intelligence, and would be an enormous asset to any company that has the wisdom to recognize his many fine qualities. Were I a hiring manager again in any organization, Jay would be my first choice for any position he would be willing to accept. In my opinion, there are not enough superlatives in any thesaurus to do justice to him. February 20, 2009 - Peter Childress, Enterprise Analyst, Wells Fargo & Co. managed Jay indirectly at Wells Fargo & Co.
