CONSENT AGENDA:
A. Approve request for Two Engineers and a Firefighter to attend the Hazardous Materials Technician-I course that will be held at the MS Fire Academy, and approve request to travel in City vehicle and reimbursement of meal expenses and backfill for their positions as needed. The Course fees will be paid by a Homeland Security grant. Approve request for the CFO/Secretary-Treasurer to issue a check to the Jackson Fire Department to pay for fuel expenses that were incurred during a Homeland Security Task Force Director of Operations exercise. Approve request to use the Citys Credit Card to pay for a National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Basic Examination voucher for a firefighter. Approve request for the Fire and Life Safety Educator to attend the Fire Inspector 1031-II course that will be held at the Mississippi Fire Academy, and approve payment for the cost of the course and the reimbursement of meal expenses. Approve request for three Fire Captains to attend the Trench Rescue and Emergency Shoring course that will be held at the MS Fire Academy, and approve backfill for their positions as needed. Approve request for the Special Operations Chief to attend a Homeland Security Credentials meeting that will be held in Jackson, MS, and approve cost for lodging, fuel expenses and reimbursement of meal expenses. These expenses will be reimbursed to the City by Homeland Security. Ratify decision for the Fire Chief to attend a Homeland Security Task Force Leaders meeting that was held in Jackson, MS, and approve reimbursement of meal expenses, fuel cost, and lodging expenses. These expenses will be reimbursed to the City by the MS Department of Homeland Security. Approve request for the CFO to attend the 2012 Spring Session of the Certification Program for the Mississippi Clerks, Tax Collectors, and Deputies, that will be held in Oxford, MS, and approve cost of registration, lodging, mileage, and reimbursement of meal expenses. Approve request to make the satisfactory completion of the Mississippi Judicial College certification an official part of the Mayor and City Council Minutes. Approve request for the Payroll Clerk to attend the Annual Workers Compensation Workshop that will be held in Clinton, MS, and approve mileage. Approve request for the Director of Training to attend the BLS Instructor School at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle and payment for the Recertification Course. Approve request to reimburse a Police Officer the cost incurred for clothing while attending the Police Academy.
