======Biddat and it's evil consequences in Islam============

Allah says,''This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion. .(Surah Maidah Ayat-3)

Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Number 1885

" " . " " . "

Jabir b. Abdullah said: When Allah's Messenger (may peace he upon him) delivered the sermon, his eyes became red, his voice rose. and his anger increased so that he was like one giving a warning against the enemy and saying:" The enemy has made a morning attack on you and in the evening too." He would also say:" The last Hour and I have been sent like these two." and he would join his forefinger and middle finger; and would further say:" The best of the speech is embodied in the Book of Allah, and the beet of the guidance is the guidance given by Muhammad. And the most evil affairs are their innovations; and every innovation is error."

Narrated by Ibn Al-Musaiyab: The companions of the Prophet said, "Some men from my companions will come to my Lake-Fount and they will be driven away from it, and I will say, 'O Lord, my companions!' It will be said, 'You have no knowledge of what they innovated after you left: And I(Prophet Muhammad) would then also say: Be away(Mujh se duur karo). 'Medina is a sanctuary from Air (mountain) to Thaur (mountain). So whoever innovates in it an heresy (something new in religion) or commits a crime in it or gives shelter to such an innovator, will incur the curse of Allah, and that of the angels and of all the people,Allah will not accept from him on the Day of Resurrection either obligatory acts or the surpererogatory acts. Ibn Anas said: Or he accommodates an innovator. Narrated by Aisha: Allah's Apostle said, "If somebody innovates something which is not in harmony with the principles of our religion, that thing is rejected." (References Sahih Bukhari Volume 3 : Book 49 : Hadith 861 Sahih Muslim Book 18, Number 4266 : Sahih Muslim Book 18, Number 4267)

You have brought an innovation, O Iraqi! He said: The innovation is from you. I heard someone say at Mecca: The Apostle of Allah (pbuh) cursed him who cuts a lote-tree. (Abu-Dawud Book 036, Hadith Number 5221)

Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, No. 1, Narrated Anas bin Malik A group of three men came to the houses of the wives of the Prophet May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him asking how the Prophet worshipped (Allah), and when they were informed about that, they considered their worship insufficient and said, "Where are we from the Prophet as his past and future sins have been forgiven." Then one of them said, "I will offer the prayer throughout the night forever." The other said, "I will fast throughout the year and will not break my fast." The third said, "I will keep away from the women and will not marry forever." Allah's Apostle came to them and said, "Are you the same people who said so-and-so? By Allah, I am more submissive to Allah and more afraid of Him than you; yet I fast and break my fast, I do sleep and I also marry women. So he who does not follow my tradition in religion, is not from me (not one of my followers)."

======Reward of not adding anything in Islam======

The man went away saying, 'By Allah, I won't do any more than this, nor will I do any less.' The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'That man will be successful, if he is telling the truth. (Reference:-Bukhari :: Book 1 :: Volume 2 :: Hadith 44 Malik :: Book 9 : Hadith 9.25.97 )

A man said: By Him Who sent you with truth, I shall never add anything to it. Then man then went away. The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said twice: The man received salvation (Dawud :: Book 6 : Hadith 1394 )

============Is there something called Good biddah in Islam?=============

Ibn e umar r.a said: Every innovation is an astray even if people understands it good. ( Kitab al sunnah page 24 hadees 82, sharah asool aiteqaad ahlus sunnah wal jamah hadees 126, al mudakhal behqi hadees 191)

Abu-Dawud Book 002, Hadith Number 0538. Narated By Abdullah ibn Umar : Mujahid reported: I was in the company of Ibn Umar. A person invited the people for the noon(Zohr) or afternoon(Asr) prayer (after the adhan had been called). He said: Go out with us (from this mosque) because this is an innovation (in religion).

Tirmidhi Hadith -#417 A desert Arab came to Allah's Apostle and asked him about ablution. He demonstrated (washing each part of his body) thrice, and then said: That is (the method) of the ablution. And he who does more than this has done wrong, transgressed the limit and has oppressed (himself).

comments:-Even washing hands is good biddah still prophet forbideen us why? because Biddah leads you astray

Sahih Muslim Book 34, Number 6466: Jarir b. Abdullah reported that some desert Arabs clad in woollen clothes came to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him). He saw them in sad plight as they had been hard pressed by need. He (the Holy Prophet) exhorted people to give charity, but they showed some reluctance until (signs) of anger could be seen on his face. Then a person from the Ansar came with a purse containing silver. Then came another person and then other persons followed them in succession until signs of happiness could be seen on his (sacred) face. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: He who introduced some good practice (Sunnat-e-Hasna) in Islam which was followed after him (by people) he would be assured of reward like one who followed it, without their rewards being diminished in any respect. And he who introduced some evil practice in Islam which had been followed subsequently (by others), he would be required to bear the burden like that of one who followed this (evil practice) without their's being diminished in any respect

(Commentary:-The above Hadith used the word ''Sunnat-e-Hasna" meaning Good sunnah not 'Biddat-e-Hasna as we all Know 'Sunnah' means the traditing of Prophet(peace be upon him) unfortunately this hadith is mis-used by barelwis but the Hadith emphasis If you review a dead Sunnah of Prophet it is considered as Sunnahe-Hasna for more explanation of that Hadith let's take a look at another Hadith)..

3 : : 209 Kathir bin Abdullh bin Amr bin Awf Al-Muzani said: My father told me, narrating trom my grandfathers that the Messenger of Allah p.b.u.h said: Whoever revives a Sunnah of mine, which people then act upon will have a reward equivalent to that of those who act upon it, without that detracting from their reward in the slightest. And whoever introduces an innovation (Bidah) that is acted upon, will have a burden of sins equivalent to that of those who act upon it, without that detracting from the burden of those who act upon it in the slightest,(Sunan Ibn-Majah Vol.1 Hadith.209)

It was narrated that Abdullah bin Abbas said: The Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h))said: Allah refuses to accept the good deeds of one who follows innovation until he gives up that innovation. (Sunan Ibn-Majah Vol.1 Hadith.50)

Amr ibn salmah said: We used to sit in front of Abdullah Ibn Masoud's house before the Fajr prayer, so that when he came out we would go with him to the Masjid. {one day} Abu Moosa al-Ash'aaree came and asked us: 'Did Abu Abdur Rahmaan (i.e. Ibn

Masoud) leave yet? ' We answered: 'No.'So Abu Moosa al-Ash'aaree sat with us waiting for him. When he came out, we all stood up. Abu Moosa told him: "Oh, Abu Abdur Rahmaan! I recently saw something in the Masjid which I deemed to be evil, but all praise is for Allah, I did see anything except good "Ibn Masoud then asked: "then What was it?"Abu Moosa said: "You will see it if you stay alive. In the Masjid, I saw a group of people sitting in circles waiting for the Salh. Each circle is led by a person. And every person in these circles carries small stones (pebbles). The leader of a circle would say: "Say 'Allah-u Akbar' a hundred times" so they would repeat Allahu Akbar a hundred times; then he says Say 'Laa ilaaha illallaah', a hundred times" so they would say Laa ilaaha illallaah a hundred times; then he would say:Say 'Subhaanallah', a hundred times", they will say Subhana Allah a hundred times.

Then Ibn Masoud said: "What did you tell them?"

He said: 'I didn't say anything, I waited to hear your opinion."

Abdullah Ibn Masoud said: "Could you not order them to count their evil deeds, and assured them of getting their rewards." Then Abdullah Ibn Masoud went ahead and we accompanied him. As he approached one of the circles, he said: "What is this that you are doing?" They said: "Oh! Abu Abdur Rahmaan, these are pebbles to count the number of times we say Allah-u Akbar, La ilaaha Illallah, and Subhaanallah."He said: "Count your evil deeds, and I assure you that you are not going to lose anything of your rewards (Hasanat). Woe unto you, people of Muhammad, how quickly you go to destruction! Those are your Prophet's companions available, these are his clothes not worn out yet, and his pots are not broken yet. I swear by Whom my soul is in His Hands that you are either following a religion that is better than the Prophet's religion or you are opening a door of misguidance." They said: "We swear by Allah Almighty, oh, Abu Abdur Rahmaan, that we had no intention other than doing good deeds."He said: "So what? How many people wanted to do good deeds but never got to do them? The Prophet of Allah has told us about people who recited the Qur'n with no effect on them other than the Qur'n passing through their throats. I swear by Allah, I am almost sure that most of you are from that type of people." Then he left them.umar Ibn Salamah (the sub narrator) said: "We saw most of the people of those circles fighting against us with the Khawaarij in the battle of An-Nahrawan."

:It was narrated from Abdullah bin Mas'ud that the Prophet P.B.U.H said

"Among those in charge of you, after I am gone, will be men who extinguish the Sunnah. and follow innovation. They will delay the prayer from its proper time." I said: "0 Messenger of Allah, if I live to see them, what should I do?" He said: "You ask me, a Ibn Umm 'Abd, what you should do? There is no obedience to one who disobeys Allah."
