INTRODUCTION TO THE INDUSTRY


Since cocoa has been commercially planted in Malaysia in 1950s, the cocoa processing sector can be seen it growth tremendously in early 1970s. Currently, Malaysia is the fifth largest cocoa processor in the world. Malaysia cocoa products such as cocoa butter, cocoa powder, as well as chocolate are exported to over 80 countries across the world. One special characteristics of Malaysia cocoa butter is the high melting point, which is beneficial for chocolate products in warm countries. Most of the local chocolate industry products are good of quality, accepted by many with Halal certification. The objective of the Malaysian Cocoa Board (MCB) - federal statutory research and development agency under the Ministry of Plantation Industry and Commodities - is to develop the cocoa industry in Malaysia to be well integrated and competitive in the global market. There also supervise and coordinate any cocoa related activities that cover processing, storage regulatory and marketing. Besides that, almost every year, there is Malaysia Chocolate Fair to support as well as to promote the local chocolate industry to the global market. Thus, this subsequently will stabilize the cocoa price as well as the local cocoa supply to the global market. Now days, there are many improvements and new technologies have been introduced into chocolate making industry. Through this technology, the production of chocolate have becomes more effective and efficient. Many products can be supplied in a day and there are no problems to fulfill the demand from market. Based on the recent study among Malaysians, it showed that 91% of females and 87% of males consume chocolate products.

To attract Muslim eat halal food (chocolate) since the ingredient of the chocolate product in the current market may contain non-halal material in it. 4. To provide chocolate with healthy chocolate (herb). 5. To put Malaysia (local product) in the eyes of the world. 6. To promote local fruit taste with the mix of the chocolate.
Objective

1) Justly to compensate the employees and owners of Cioccolato Mania Enterprise. 2) Contribute to the development and growth of the country's economy and to increase the percentage of Bumiputera involves in business. 3) To create productivity among employees 4) To provide the best quality of chocolate with different flavor and variation products in order to attract more customers. 5) To be able to control at least 35% of the market share on the first years of business.

PURPOSE OF THE BUSINESS PLAN

The main purpose of this business plan is for the reference of several audiences/parties such as: 1. The Entrepreneurs (The managers)

To better understand the purpose of the business and act as guideline to manage the business effectively and efficiently.

Assist and help the financial institution to evaluate the capability of the proposed project and provide loan for the business.

Help convince suppliers of the viability of our business venture thus benefiting both the suppliers and our company in the long term business arrangement.
